The environment was excellent, the food exceptional however the evening was hampered with our exit when the server felt it necessary to walk by our table verbally denouncing their acceptance of our AMEX card. Apparently he felt it necessary to let the surrounding guests know that we failed to present the appropriate card. Obviously he was unhappy that I placed my hand on the bill advising him I had not yet reviewed the guest check for payment which must of embarrased him. In the end the venue was A+, the server, needs coaching. Highly recommend........

Fabulous restaurant. Nicely decorated and comfortable seating arrangement.
The food was fantastic! Seafood Marseilles was unbelievable. Lobster, Scallops and Shrimp with pasta in a tasty sauce. Creme brulee and cappuccinos were an excellent end to a wonderful dinner.
Our waitress Colby was awesome! Very friendly and knowledgeable.

My wife and I had our 27th wedding anniversary here. It was phenomenal. The staff and the service were super and the food was fantastic. Cannot wait to come back.

Lovely setting on well-landscaped grounds. Cozy table seating in a pleasant, casual atmosphere. Additional seating in small bar room.
Everyone in my group enjoyed their haddock, steamers and risotto ($24). My glass of pinot grigio ($11) was cool, crisp and delicious. I sampled others' desserts ($12) which were delectable.
Overall, service and food were excellent; minus one star for high price and automatic 20% gratuity added to bill.

Overall: the service and atmosphere were fantastic, we just had few resolvable bumps with the kitchen.
If I had to rate On The Marsh for atmosphere and service alone, they would receive a "5 star." My husband requested the advertised "most romantic table" for our last night of our honeymoon. This table is tucked back in a corner and overlooks the garden and marsh. A live piano played in the background and was wonderful. They took note of our occasion and provided us with celebratory champagne. We started our meal with the cheese board and it was fantastic. The server told us what everything was and the jam was the BEST. For our main course I ordered the chicken with blueberry chutney and sweet potato mash. The vegetables were so delicious and complimented the chicken well. Although. I did think my chicken was a little on the dry/bland side. My husband ordered the steak medium rare. However, it was medium well when given to us. The server was very apologetic and acknowledged the cook of the meat as well. The chef came and apologized and expedited a new steak - such wonderful service. For dessert, we wanted the cheesecake cake. The chef came out AGAIN and said we were batting a thousand and that they had just sold two whole cheesecakes. He recommended the lemon cake instead and it was a Devine intervention because the lemon cake was DELICIOUS.

Had a nice Sunday night dinner last night. Service was top notch My wife had the 8 oz. Filet Mignon. Made a perfect medium, it's the best item on the menu. I had the scallops with bacon and lobster risotto. Dish was good, but they could have had been more generous with the risotto. Bread and butter was great. Dessert and coffee was great.

Lovely ambiance and decor, enjoyed the pianist, delicious meal, wonderful place to have a special celebrations in our case Anniversary and Valentine's combined. We will definitely go again!

We celebrated our 50th anniversary there last year with our extended family. The service and care we received was beyond what we expected. Last night, we celebrated our daughter's birthday and our server, Steve, again, more than met our expectations.
