We were looking for a place for dinner on a Friday night. Reviews on Urbanspoon of several places had already kept us looking. Then we found Toby's....
Toby's BBQ is only open later (8p) on thurs & fri. We like the reviews. There were only about 5 but they were all good.

REALLY GREAT BBQ.... My wife had the ribs & I had the brisket. I tasted the ribs. Good taste, moist & meaty. The brisket was good too. Just pick the sauce you wanted. 2 sides, garlic bread. Then someone came around with a selection of desserts and let us choose which one we wanted... That was an unexpected treat.
Toby's BBQ goes on our list of places to eat when we are in Jacksonville.
GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE, GREAT HELP. I had Toby's to cater my husband's birthday party and they went ABOVE and BEYOND. They not only provided EVERYTHING I NEEDED and more, but they also helped set up tables and gave awesome suggestions on how to set up food to make things run smoothly. I will forever to greatful to Robert & Mary for how they run a business. They treat you like family.

First time ever at Toby's. It was wonderful, friendly staff, great atmosphere! Most of all GOOD food! We will be going back.
Today was my 1st time dining there. Friendly staff and wonderful conversation with the owners!!! Ordered rib sandwich, fries and corn nuggets. Definitely returning for lunch specials!!!!!!!!!!
You gotta go , The place is incredible. All the food is fantastic and you get a free dessert sometimes. Get there before 2pm they close early.
New Location. I remember the old place, it was always good. The new place is even better. The owner came into my shop to buy some A/C parts, we told him next time to hook us up with some ribs. He showed up later with a slab of ribs, cole slaw, french fries and garlic bread. They have the best mustard sauce, wow.
By chance found this gem. The employees were so nice. The owner was there, she greeted and spoke to everyone. Pulled up and was contemplating going in because they were so busy. They worked the floor like a well oiled machine! True teamwork here! The food was fabulous. Everything is fresh and made from scratch. You feel like ya just walked into grandmas kitchen, your belly will be happy and you may just need rolled back to your car. Price vs portion is spot on, lot of food for good price. Sweet tea was perfect. Will definitely be back and will recommend Toby's to everyone I meet!

Folks.....I go to great effort to find the BEST on the First Coast. Recently I noticed Toby’s BBQ via several social media posts regarding recognition they have received for their ribs. I had to find out more....
My trip was more than I expected. Great ribs are not the only thing Toby’s is good at, friendly staff(Stacy) and quick service. I ordered the combo/sampler and the portions were generous. The sauces were good but the ribs were so good they won’t need it. A great crust and so tender they fall off the bone. It’s quality that’s hard to find these days, especially when your making as many ribs as Toby’s does.
Take my word for it and hit these guys up. But keep in mind they are closed on the weekends. So make this a weekday lunch or dinner destination Wed -Fri. Now I have to get back and try their breakfast!

Great breakfast great coffee fast service. Served with a smile. Would recommend this restaurant just off innerstate easy on and off no need to go very far for your meal then gas up and get back on the way to your destination. Come enjoy their lunch specials also you won't be dissapointed.
Great food at a great price. You should definitely give this place a try. The loaded potato which only cost $10 is absolutely phenomenal. It comes with turkey, pork and beef with cheese on it. I have yet to be able to finish it. Check this place out.
My wife and I made the cross-town trip from the Southside to here, and it was definitely worth it! The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, my wife's loaded potato was a meal in itself, and the service was awesome! The rustic atmosphere was like stepping back into my childhood. I'm looking forward to going back again!
Stopped in for breakfast. Cozy setting. Our waiter forgot about us a few times (place wasn't busy,) but luckily we sat in the back near the managers office so she whipped it into shape.
I'll also add that there breakfast variety was pretty basic (not a bad thing, just what you would expect with no frills added in.) You can smell the smokers in the building, you're expect a smoked sausage biscuit or something.
Great chopped pork! Good brisket, could be a little fatter. Service had always been good and they can make tea without burning it. Go here pretty much every Thursday.
Lunch special comes with a lot of food, plus a choice of pudding or brownie for dessert. Fast service for the special, slower for other menu items. It's relatively inexpensive, home cooked feel, tastes like a church pot luck.
