The food wasn't bad at all and the service was actually really nice! I personally thought that the atmosphere was going to be more decorated and they didn't have any natural drinks which sort of defeats the purpose. The price of the food was sort of overpriced for what they gave me but it was ok.
Went a couple times back in the 90's when in town and remembered it was very good! Was recently in town for a football game and decided to see if it was still around and was happy to see it was still going and growing. I had the Cubano and a papa rellena , my brother got the pallomia steak and my son had chorizo fries and a Cubano as well. Food was decent but not as good as I wanted it to be! I will definitely try again and again when visiting Jacksonville.
Stopped by here on a whim and was very pleasantly surprised. Server was polite, fast, and attentive. Food was delicious, authentic, and very fairly priced. Will definitely be coming back!
Food is absolutely delicious. Coffee was exquisite. Their mojitos are the best that I have ever had. Thank you all for providing us a beautiful space for our family to come together and celebrate life.
Ropa vieja, arroz amarillo y frijoles negros. Spectacular food….as authentic Cuban as it gets…literally home made. Awesome service. You’ve got to try it.
The food is really good, but I think they give a smaller portion now than before. 2 small tostones with my meal. Didn't like that. Had to order more. I'm probably going to have my cuban from now on at Mambos. They've lost a long time customer. For the price, I deserved a few more tostones, as well as a few more pieces of pork chunk.
I've been really missing the Cuban food in Orlando, so I had to give this place a try! It's exactly what I've been looking for. I had the masitas de puerco, the pork had a perfect crisp on the outside and the Mojo sauce made it taste even juicier! My bf had the Ropa vieja, it was super tender and flavorful. I think I was most surprised by the Mojita Cocktail. It was the best version of a Mojito I think I've had! It had lots of mint flavor and you can tell they use fresh juice in their drinks, they are absolutely delicious.
Havana Jax has been one of my favorite restaurants over the past two years. I had the pleasure of introducing my friend to them today and, as always, it was stellar!
For appetizers, I totally recommend the Havana Platter! (I'll have a pic for next time) It's a delightful plate filled with yuca, tostones, and chicarrones.
My usual is a customizeable bowl. This time, I tried the Churrasco steak with yellow rice, black bean soup, and plantains. The best way to describe it - chef's kiss! Excellent across the board!
We capped off our meal with some espresso that was warm, savory, sweet, and rich. We also ordered Tres Leches to go (I was full after such a big portion). I tried it when I got home and OMG it's delectable!!
But above all else, Mr. Miguel and his service was excellent! His recommendations were wonderful and I can't wait to bring more of my friends and family to visit!
Went for an afternoon snack. Cortadito and guava cream cheese pastry for the win! Service was absolutely wonderful.
WOW. The food was Amazing! I loved the waiter (older gentleman). Empanada was very delicious, with the pickled onions. Wasnt too enthralled with the ham croquetas. Best Cuban sandwich I've ever had. Perfect proportion ratio of pickle and mustard, wasnt too much. Sangria was good. This will definitely be my new spot! I'm excited to check out the club part.
