They are a little pricey but very delicious. Well be going back.
Yummy but overpriced. I had the steak bento box. It was actually very tasty with a lot of food - seaweed salad, fried rice (costs extra), tempura veggie (sweet potato and cauliflower), a Cali roll, saute onion with mushroom, salad, miso soup and tempura shrimps (my least favorite, too much batter)
My friend took me here to return a favor otherwise I wouldn't go here because of the price. My bento box was $30 :-(

Me and my cousin have eaten here on a regular basis for over a year. We always sit in the hibachi room, and the food has always been amazing. Sometimes, we had to wait a little long for the chef, but we have gotten to know all of them, and they recognize us every time. We were looking forward to going back very soon, however, due to some recent events (I believe fire damage), it looks like they have shut their doors for good. I really hope they will open back up if not at that location, somewhere nearby. Love the place!
I have been going to this place since I have been 16 (I'm 26 now) I have had a wonderful relationship with the staff and the manager. The food was always there for me within 15 minutes of my order & most of the time they knew what I wanted... It has crushed me that the doors may be closed.
This place was my favorite sushi spot, hands down for years.
Went in for sushi with the expectation that since its a Japanese steak house that the prices would be higher. In fact, the prices were some of the cheapest in the Northwest Houston area period. Full 8 piece tuna/salmon are $4.25 as of writing. Quality is very good as well. Service speed could use a bit of improvement. So far, my top two (total value wise) sushi places in the area are Bonsai and Sakura.
I like this restaurant a lot. The food is consistently delicious, I haven't tried anything on the menu that I did not like. The owner is enthusiastic and friendly and the same is true of the bartender. They also make good drinks. I particularly like the Sakura Tea.
Love the hibachi, Sakura mama sushi is the BEST!! I am allergic to mushrooms and they made accommodations for me, usually doesn't happen at restaurants so it limits me to choices. Definitely coming back
Management & staff are absolutely awesome. The best service compared to any place in the area. Fantastic sushi to go along with it. Tell Mike the manager, that John and Mo sent you.
