I usually get 2-3 pork sandwich’s and an order of spring rolls.
The owners mom and daughter (daughter is so sweet) are so kind and warm.
You will not be disappointed. I go there several times a month. Yummmy

I used to go to Don's in the same plaza but they fell off big time. Their bread is so hard and the meat is so well done, it's like Jerky! Not at Thanh Noi! Great flavor, nice flaky and crispy bread.
I love this place!!! They have the best combination sandwich. The pho is great too.
We have been coming to this little gem since my kiddo was born ( he calls her grandma ).

My wife and I visited this morning on our way out of Houston. We hadn't tried the sandwiches before, but a lot of the reviews were great and a few were very negative. The owner's responses made me laugh and she seemed very confident in her product so that sold me. We stopped in and they were so sweet and welcoming. We ordered 6 (buy 5 get one free) and realized I forgot to get cash (cash only). She told us where to find an ATM and said she would start making them. That's very very hospitable. We got our cash, returned, our sandwiches were ready and waiting and we hit the road. My wife thought 6 sandwiches was overkill for our four hour road trip. Now that we've eaten 2 of them, she wishes we had bought 12, they are so amazing. The bread is perfect, meat is amazing and they're so cheap! We paid $18 for 6 banh mi. Will be back next time we're in Houston for a dozen.
My first place to go for banh mi in Chinatown. Prices are very reasonable and food is always fresh.
I hardly tried other dishes because I had to sit down to dine there. I would rather take out, tho.
It's a great family owned and operated business. It's been here for many decades. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for tasty Vietnamese sandwich.

The very best Banh Mi in H-Town... BBQ Pork... and the fresh sugar cane juice. Have been coming here since early 90's and have never had a bad one... Ever... Friendly, but not annoyingly so...
Great deal on the best tasting Vietnamese sandwiches in town. Their pate is meaty and not mayonnaise filled, the bread is crisp on the outside but not a baked to a crouton on each end like some places. They also have good sweets in the cabinets ( I like the sweet rice with bean in a cup). However I really would stay away from all the fried rice and chinese style things and I think their egg rolls are just average. Order right and you will be very happy here.

Little restaurant with a big 5 stars rating??? Yes it's true, it's the Quintessential of Dee-Lish foods, cleanliness, quality ingredients, $$, and courteous, friendly services. A humble little restaurant but don't be fooled, they have an expansive menu to satisfy all your cravings. Best kept secret in the Bellaire areas!!!
I've noticed that they seem to have a lot of non-Asian devotee clientele who actually calls out menu items by their Vietnamese names.
You know these people are regulars because they don't try to pay with plastics.
I don't mind that they only take cash, this is how they keep the prices low.
Wife had an awesome Bun Bo Hue (Spicy, Beef Stew soup w/ noodles and herbs) and I had the hot and tasty Beef Pho Soup. Ordered a large container of freshly crushed, icy sugar cane juice to wash it all down. Out of this world thirst quencher on a hot day. Two thumbs up!
We also bought 6 sandwiches, spring rolls, fried bananas, assortment of finger foods and deserts to go.
Ok, so we went a little crazy over this little place.
PS - The bathroom was clean.
My bahn mi was great, especially the crusty bread used. They make sugar water fresh from cane plants. Cash only. Worth it.
The bbq and pate chicken sandwiches are so good. I also love their spicy beef noodle soup. So flavorful and tasty.
My friend recently introduced me to this place and it's now our go to lunch spot. Beef soup and bbq sandwich no jalapeño for me. I 100% recommend this place.
