Monterey House reborn. This is a great old-fashioned Monterey House-style restaurant. Once the staff get to know you, they remember you forever. We've been coming here for over 15 years & like the friendly, attentive staff and (what is to us) comfort food.

Great cheese and guacamole ,enchilladas it's family owned and it taste great not too expensive but it's not cheap either
Great service by very friendly and helpful waitress. Had the Taco Salad w/Veggie Soup Lunch Special. Food was fast, very tasty, nice portion size (I took some of both home). Well worth the $10 price. Will definitely eat there again.

Alright so I have been going to Don Teos my entire life. Their quesadillas are unlike any other quesadilla Ive ever had in the best way. SO much cheese. Their fajita con queso is also so good. I love love love their salsa. I dont really like chunky salsa but watery salsas usually have no flavor but theirs is the best combo of the two. Their guacamole and queso is also delicious!!
Been going here since I was probably 9 or 10. Sad to hear you guys closed! Y'all are going to be missed! Hope this gets to to everyone, like a second family! Still the best queso I've ever had in Texas!
One of the best Old Monterey style Mexican restaurant still in the city. Been going here for over 25 years! The owner (the brothers) wonderful people to know!

Delicious food. My husband had the Chile relleno and I had the chicken fajita enchiladas. Delicious food. The waitress was a darling and complete humble person. I sincerely recommend this restaurant if you want to eat deliciously peacefully.
Great food and great service at this mom and pop eatablishment. They do things the traditional way and they don't use the bad fats to cook we found out by what I realized was the owner when we were casually talking to him. Super nice staff, attentive, good prices and food. Simple menu, which is sometimes the way to be and operate. I had the taco salad and I asked for other veggies to be grilles and it was done perfectly! They are also accommodating too if you need it. Will be back! Really great! Gracias!
The food here might best be described as Vintage Tex-Mex, and it is exexuted well! If you're expecting bold, bright, spicy flavors... look elsewhere. But if you want Tex-Mex that's like a warm, comforting hug from your white grandma there's few better options!
Our family loves this place! We usually get food to go and love to get a party pack and extra queso. There is not better queso around town! I'm serious! Nice owners and staff too that have worked there forever. They always ask how my parents are doing.
