Everything about this place was awesome!
We had multiple appetizers, dishes, sushi rolls and drinks. Everything was very unique and delicious. We would go back in an instant. The prices were great and our service was even better!
I lucked up! Went over to Asahi. Closed. About to go to Crave. Checked hours, closed. Disappointed and driving trying to come up with another genre of food, I saw this place. It's real cute in here! The service is excellent! The food is great! Can't wait to come back.....
This place was great, don't let the Fiesta and big lots in the same parking lot throw you off. It is very nice. There was only one waitress on the night we went and you could tell she was busy but she did not let it effect her service she was fast and kind. Service was excellent and the food was awesome too. We had eggrolls, ribs, volcano roll, crispy Tuna roll, combonation lo mein and a couple of beers and cocktails. (Dragons bite was good but be ready for sour) and blue Hawaiian is a typical blue Hawaiian. Also the ambiance inside was really cool/fancy/modern feeling. 10/10 will be going back again.
As far as pricing our tab was about 80 and were expecting 100 so I would say above average also. Give them a shot (they have plenty of options if you don't want sushi.)
This is without a doubt one of my favorite spots to get good sushi and good service. I do think it is a bit pricey, but is probably for the atmosphere and it's not completely overpriced. Ive had the majority of the specialty rolls there, and a few of the regular rolls, and can confidently say they are handled with care and precision as a higher class restaraunt would. Beyond the taste the food is present with great appeal. The employees are all, in my experience, friendly and will enjoy getting to know you if you frequent enough. Ive even learned a phrase in Chinese and Vietnamese due to the openness of them. Over all, I think that the place is a great place to eat. It has a great atmosphere and it is a great place to hang out with friends or even take your partner out for a casual dinner or even Lunch. It's also not overwhelming for beginner sushi eaters. I recommend eating here
I had the crab puffs (I ate one before taking the pic), and the chop chop roll. Both were fresh and delicious! This place was so clean and modern! The staff wass friendly as well! Will definitely come again.
The menu items were decently priced as well.
I went with my mom for dinner and it was so good. We were the only ones there, service was cool, but the food made the entire experience worthwhile. We ordered 3 diff rolls (happy sumo, shaggy dog, and lisa crunch) and the Happy sumo was my fave. I'll definitely do some ToGo or delivery orders in the future.
They are CLOSED PERMANENTLY NOW 2/2021. So sad!!!
Safe distancing in place. Cleaning between customers. Waitress wears mask the whole time. Saturday lunch - had the place to our selves! Food is fresh and tasty. Pricing is average. They have sushi and regular dishes. Love their hot and sour soup! Great weekday lunch place. Comfortable lighting, no waiting! Staff are nice and some are really fast! Lunch specials are good. Recommend this place.🍱🍜🍚🍣
All day happy hour on Sundays for the win! Good selection and a surprising amount o sushi for $2!
Starting from the top, that’s the shaggy dog (which happened to be happy hour).
The single piece of Sushi left was yellowtail.
Hot spicy man roll and the Godzilla rolls cleaning it up. Enjoyed a $3 Asahi and the ms had a tasty Thai tea.
All delicious!
We were in town for the Texans/Titans game and got an opportunity to try Akashi Sushi. It was supwr delicious and to top it off we had Kahlil for a server. He was super attentive and super nice. This young man will go a long way in life.
Great atmosphere, excellent sushi. Great appetizers crab puffs actually taste like there's crab in there not like the cheap cream cheese ones. Ribs were delicious and the sauce was good. The sushi was phenomenal had Godzilla and big Tokyo rolls. O man this place hits the spot!
I have been to Akashi many many times now, and I have never been disappointed. Quality sushi at a reasonable price. They have a large menu, full bar, and plenty of seating (we never have to wait to get a table). All of the staff are very kind and the sushi comes out fast. This is always our go to for sushi in Houston. The spicy edamame is our go to appetizer, but always switch it up on rolls because there are so many to choose from!
I have been to this restaurant plenty of times, and I keep coming back!
This is my new go-to restaurant for Chinese and Japanese food, especially given its location near the NRG stadium (where there was a lack of solid Asian food choices...until now!). I have been here for their lunch specials (delicious!), dinner entrees, and sushi (cooked+raw).
I believe this is a newer restaurant, so there isn't a wait + there is plenty of parking. The staff has always been extremely friendly, and the food is really top-notch and tasty.
