I've visited this place a few times, and I appreciate that it's never too crowded, but it's perplexing because the food is also excellent. I love the ambiance, and it's one of my go-to restaurants for dinner in Houston. It's somewhat of a hidden gem, offering some great dining rewards/perks. Parking is hassle-free. Their wine selection is truly outstanding, the ingredients are fresh, and I've never had a negative experience. I recently tried their cast iron seared scallops, and they were absolutely heavenly. Chef’s kiss.
I love the selections of wine in here and their flights. The food was good but I hope it's bigger portion. Like their Ceasars salad for 13 bucks was so little. Lol. Pizza was good tho. We had the black truffle and the butcher Pizza. It is delicious. I love the big boys flights and their wine selections on it. Service was nice cos they always check on our table. Will definitely be back in here. I like how relaxing the atmosphere here.
We have been here several times for a meal, a snack, or just wine. The service is excellent and attentive to your needs. They vary the wine on a regular basis, which gives you the opportunity to try new things but I sometimes miss a new favorite on the second trip.
Seating is outside or in and the crowd is almost always quiet. Sometimes there is an energetic group but it’s never too much.
I highly recommend you consider this wine bar.
The pizza with pear and Gorgonzola was delicious. I really like how well the flavors are balanced. It was nice to eat the truffle pizza. Calamari and shrimp, on the other hand, were too oily.

Where shall I start! We were here for a gathering so we were able to pick our small bites etc. We worked with Lina and Laura and they were able to answer all of our questions and explain the options clearly. The good was freshly prepared, the variety of wines were a hit, seating was intimate and romantically lite. The packages they off for gathers are truly awesome.
Decided to check out this place while in town and I’ll glad I did. Susan was my server and she was very nice, the service was great. The outside patio is small but it’s really really nice! Of course I had a glass of wine and the pear and gorgonzola pizza was delicious! If you want a nice quiet spot to unwind this is it!
Great service on a Monday afternoon. Had a bottle of wine with their promotion on Monday came a free pizza. The waiter was amazing. Will come back again.
We went for lunch. The food was really good. I have the pecan crusted tuna salad. The cobb was an interesting blend but was on the bitter side combination of items. If you like this it should satisfy. The pizzas are large for single serving. The crust is thin and the perfect crisp. Don't pass the opportunity to have the goat cheese beignets. They are to die for!!
I hadn't been at Cru before . I found it online for places close to River oaks. I did a wine flight (old world). Our server was a connoisseur! He helped pair the right cheese with the right wine and I absolutely enjoyed it. It's a cozy place, good for a date night too! Prices, service, environment makes this place worth your visit.
Went here for lunch had beef burger and fries. Really nice staff the food is good. Went on a Sunday not crowded. Nice place to hang out with friends 😊.
