While visiting my Mom, her awesome Fiancé took me to this amazing diner-style joint. I immediately fell in love with their oxtail soup. This is one of my favorite foods, am I have never had a better bowl than here. Now I am ruined for all eternity as no other oxtail soup will compare. The serving size is huge, and they accompany it with a serving of rice, and a whole dish of freshly grated ginger. It was such an epic meal, that I came back for breakfast the day I flew back to the mainland and got a meal to go for the plane. For breakfast I had the classic Loco Moco, which is two eggs served over a burger patty and rice, topped with a perfectly seasoned gravy. If you are in Honolulu, check this place out!

My family frequents this Zippy's .....Island wide it is our Favorite.....Plenty of seating, Always Good Service.....And Zippy's Ono Food!!!!! Winner Winner Katdu Dinner!!!!! Something for Everyone at the Kahala location even A variety of Beautiful Sushi!!!!! Enjoy!!!!!
Zippy's is a great local spot. I grew up eating here with family, friends, and after a late fun night. The saimin is always a great meal to absorb all those drinks and even when I have lost my appetite due to illness. Always able to find something to appease my hunger, even having a breakfast meal for dinner
Good casual Hawaiian fare. Essentially a Hawaiian version of a east coast diner, where everything you can think of is available to order. From noodle soups, burgers, local Hawaiian, pastries and even spaghetti bolognese, they have it all. I pretty much made sure I kept it local, I just missed out on the moco loco, next time tho. All in all it was delicious food and it didn’t break the bank either. They even had a solid version of an orange Julius which I haven’t had in years. 😂
Located in the 2nd floor. There is a sushi bar at this location. Good spot and what you’d expect from Zippys.
There’s plenty of parking and the bathrooms are a good size in terms of capacity.
Homey tasting Hawaiian food. Great lunch plates. Not the healthiest food but oh so good and satisfying. Kalbi beef was very good and their mixed plates
Tasty comfort food with reasonable price. Garlic steak is delicoius. Beautifully decorated and clean place. Plenty parking available. Staff are friendly. Fast service too.
Zippy's is my family's favorite restaurant when in Hawaii. The chili moco is my favorite. My wife loves the chili and chicken mixed plate. We alao love the chili speghetti.
Would definitely recommend this. Unsure as to why it’s only ever locals here! Food was amazing, service is good, nice sized parking area. Perfect spot to have lunch, better for lunch than dinner.

Zippy's is one spot that has lots of parking spaces. That's a must for dining out! We enjoyed a quiet meal and the waitresses are sweethearts!
