We went there during their happy hour. We also ordered the ramen that are not in the happy hour menu but they did not disappoint. All the food was very good!
Cute spot with great ramen! Had the black garlic and the spicy ramen and both were good. The broth was really good, not too rich, not too watery. Wish the char siu was a bit thicker, but the texture was good. Also tried the bao bun which was good. Friendly and fast service!
Had the Spicy Red Miso Dragon #2 of 3 Spicy levels with Thick Noodles option. Miso broth was very tasty. Spicyness was tolerable and quite enjoyable. Noodles were just right. The bonus was that instead of the usual slice(s) of charsiu, ther were thin slices of what believed to be pork belly. This blew me away as this tasted awesome which made this bowl of Ramen stand out from the others I have eaten recently. Overall a very good & satisfying bowl of Ramen. Started out with a Salad with what I describe as a Yuzu sauce with sesame oil infused, cabbage, corn, slivers of red pickled ginger. It was nothing very good. Also had the Pork Bun (hight recommend) and the Gyoza. Gyoza was cooked perfect with brown crispy bottoms with no grill taste and very tasty. Service was very efficient and friendly. You'll find it hard to get a bowl of Ramen this good.
The neighborhood surrounding the restaurant is a little rough, and the outside seems a little off, however once you walk into the door, all that went away. The venue is cozy, will decorated and welcoming.
We ordered during happy hour which is from 11:30-12:30, and for the price vs value this is the best ramen I've had for a long time. The staff was also super friendly and efficient. I highly recommend black garlic ramen and the karage.
Would definitely return here on my next Hawaii trip.
The golden pork tsukamen is a must order if you like the more chewy type of noodle. The egg noodle itself has a lot of flavor too and the soup is dense but not too salty like traditional Japanese ramen. Adding combo items makes it a complete meal.
Amazing lunch spot with combo menu comes with salad and pork bum and your choice of ramen or rice. It is weekday noon has some wait and locals are eating here too . Server just one person but he is doing an amazing job! Parking behind is limited , if you are lucky you can find street parking too. To go is also good options . Would Definatelly return and enjoy. Love the noodle choices, the thick noodle and the thin ones , love both.
I wanted to try a new ramen shop and everything here bit spot. We started with the grilled Char Siu and I ordered the Black Garlic Tsukemen. To drink, Sparkling Sake which is now my favorite. It’s so crisp and refreshing. This place is pretty cozy.
We got there a little after 6:00 and we were the only ones. First time. Wondering if it was going to be any good because no one else was there. By the time we placed our order it was full. Got the black garlic ramen and Golden Pork Bun. So good! Went with a two for the spice level. It was excellent, but very spicy.🔥 Not your average mainland spice level. Hot sake was a great compliment.
Delicious ramen broth. Best we’ve had in Honolulu. The char-siu was full of flavor and tender. The pot stickers were also delish. The place was fairly small. Highly recommend.
Best ramen we tried. The broth brought us out of the island. So refreshing.. we’re so lucky to have good Japanese friend who recommended this restaurant. Not so busy when we went, no reservation needed. Parking at the side of the road..
