This is a great intimate place to enjoy great Japanese food. All of the food was done to perfection. Both squid dishes had great texture. These can be hard to cook and I've had many that are too chewy.
The softshell crab was perfect with the provided dipping sauce. I had Toro, Octopus, and Mackerel sashimi. It was served at proper temperature and had light tastes.
This was a great experience and I can't wait to come back.
Amazing service, accommodating staff. The food was extraordinary and the price was reasonable. We enjoyed sushi and didn't regret it because the rice was cooked to perfection. All the fish was extremely fresh and masterly prepared. I especially enjoyed the crispy rice chips and spicy tuna cold appetizer. The mochi and cheesecake were also exquisite and uniquely flavored.
This restaurant has a great selection of Japanese fare with some unique dishes, and liquor selections. Highly recommend the baked papaya with seafood, and the sochu if you are in the mood of trying some new liquors.
We loved our dinner here it was so delicious! Great server - Kevin too! Thanks for an unforgettable night.
A hidden gem!!! I was able to get reservations the same day multiple times. The staff is super nice and the food is awesome! Sushi is very fresh.
Kim sushi chef was so good and professional.
We had a great experience sitting at the bar and trying his suggestions.
He is an artist and so nice and friendly.
I am so glad we tried this restaurant on our first night visit.
The food here was really good. I highly recommend the Soft Shell Crab, Hamachi Carpacchio, Tofu salad, Miso Black Cod and Sushi.
We were walking around Waikiki for a place to eat for dinner. Someone came out as we were looking at the menu from the street and talked us into coming in. We are glad we gave this place a try. We ordered a few dishes to share and we enjoyed everything that we ordered. The papaya, baked scallops, tempura, rolls we ate were delicious. The server kept our water full and checked on us frequently. We will be back the next time we are in Hawaii.
Have walked by this place a few times, it is well hidden in a ‘50s retro-cool hotel (Breakers). Finally stuck my head in and made a reservation. So glad I did. Cute room, friendly unhurried service and a nice compact menu. We really enjoyed the hamachi carpaccio, the crab-avocado-whitefish ( killer dish), and the eggplant. Less so the Baked Scallop. The sushi was really the star here, all delicious, perfectly prepared and presented. Big thanks to the chefs and our excellent server. We will return for sure.
Superb, magical experience dining here! Definitely one of my top dining experiences on Oahu.
The food, service, and values are all exceptional. I came at 5 pm and food was served fast, so I was still able to catch a sunset when I was finished.
I get Soft shell crab every time I see it on the menu, and this place’s soft shell crab tempura is out of this world. Another top dish we had was the Hamachi.
It was perfectly spicy, fresh, and salty!
