Small town deli/diner with surprisingly very well-prepared and tasty food options. Entering it I had no high expectations as the decorations and lighting suggested a time long ago, but once the food started coming all that did not matter. Crispy stuff was crispy, salty was just right, hot was hot but not scalding, and the salad tasted like salad, fresh and each ingredient could be tasted for what it is. Pancakes had flavor and texture without needing any syrup. Latky was on the smallish side but had a perfect balance of crisp and soft.
Sunday brunch the way I remember them from 40 years ago. Good memories, very satisfying, and a place to stop by next time in the area.
This is the best Deli in Holland! Everything is super fresh and service is very fast! You will not be upset with a Mannys sandwich!
Had a corn beef omelet with potato pancakes it was delicious. Also pastrami club with potato salad which was outstanding. Can't beat the prices. Can't wait to go back and try something else
Service and food was good. I highly recommend the Manny pastrami sandwich. The stuff french toast was another good selection.
Excellent food, excellent service! Great for large orders or stopping in for a quick bite. Best matzo ball soup in the area. Family owned and run by the kindest people.
The experience was great. A good meal, the server was just like I remembered as a kid (Jewish deli style). The Matzo Ball Soup was close to grandma's!! (LOL)
I always have this love hate relationship with a Reuben sandwich, and it always puts me in a mindset whenever I get to try a new place that offers this fare. Manny's deli made me notch the Love category for this sandwich on my visit. On the onset, they served the sandwich open faced which gave way to my appreciation of the corned beef that were thin enough but didn't appear skimped at all. The meat was mild that lent a nice contrast to the sauerkraut. The cheese was mild as well that for me it was there for the texture more so than for flavor. There wasn't an overwhelming amount of the dressing and it made it less messy to eat. The homemade pickle wasn't overpowering either and it had a nice firm texture that gave it a nice crunch. I paired the sandwich with a pint of Mushroom and Barley soup. It was a delight in its own ; hearty with a generous amount of barley ,that I think they should rename it Barley and mushroom as suppose to Mushroom and Barley😄. It was savory and the intact mushrooms and barley are a nice contrast to the blended mirepoix base. The broth was velvety with every sip and gained a satisfying verdict from me.
Even just availing my order as a take out , it was just indeed a pleasant experience as evidenced by the friendly , attentive ,and genuine service. Another gem for Holland Bucks County.
Great food!! Solid local place for bagels, Reubens etc..and PICKLE sandwiches!!!
I have always used DoorDash from this location, but I decided to go in, and I will be going in from now on. The people there are so friendly and very kind. The environment is so cute, and the food is fantastic!
Holy cow. If I could give this place six stars I would. I’ve traveled the country and this has to be one of the ABSOLUTE best delis in the nation.
I don’t type that lightly.
The service was extremely friendly and price is right. I ordered the Ruben ‘Chelsea’ style and my wife ordered The Sandler. I was like, “I need to save some for later (generous portions),” but I kept on eating. It was so good I had to finish. The pickle complimented it well. Both sandwiches were succulent complimented by tangy house dressing. I also ordered the borscht, it’s like something grandma would make, taking my palate on a trip to the old world countryside, wow!
The slight let down was the baked items (b/w cookie and brownie) — not made in-house — fine, but not phenomenal.
Oh, man, I cannot wait to go again armed with hunger and leave filled with the best meats around. You don’t need to go to NYC, they’ve outshone that city.
