What a wonderful first experience we had here. The catch of the day was blackened tile fish and it was delicious! I don’t even like seafood, but I loved this dish. It was not fishy at all. We started with Caesar salad and indulged in the chocolate peanut butter pie for dessert. Excellent wine menu as well.
Reservations are hard to get for this restaurant, so we were excited to finally get to try Alexander’s. We had a 5:15 reservation for 5 people. We arrived at 5pm, and the hostess seated us immediately. Being a family of 5, we usually get seated in awkward areas of restaurants, but our table here was great. We had a nice view of the water, and our table was separated by two walls from the other seating areas. Our server was attentive. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits. I ordered the filet and added grilled shrimp. All 3 kids ordered prime rib and fries. Everything was cooked perfectly. We would have liked a little bit more salt on our entrees, but the kids said theirs were seasoned perfectly. For dessert we ordered some ice cream and the chocolate decadence dessert. We spent the same amount of money at another local restaurant but much preferred this one.
Enjoyed the fresh-caught tripletail, perfectly seasoned and not oversalted. Grab a window table for stunning views—we even saw an alligator! The crab cakes were the best we've ever had. Highly recommend!
So good! The Lobster was cooked perfectly and key lime pie was so yummy. All around everyone was great and the food was perfect. We had a seat that looked out the window from the second floor and it was perfect ambiance! The bacon wrapped shrimp were such a great appetizer.
Had a reservation at 7:30 pm. We arrived and got seated within 5 mins. Service and food was excellent. Steak was very tender, the short rib was just melt in my mouth. Everything on the plate just made sense and was seasoned very well! We will be back to dine here again.
A more upscale restaurant. Has a large wine selection. Reservations Suggested. I'm not sure if there is a dress code, but I also suggest dressing up and having a date night.
We arrived early for our evening reservations and were seated promptly. This is not a t-shirt and shorts establishment and our dinner companion was asked to remove his cap by the hostess. (This was not an unreasonable request although for those of us who are "Hair challenged " a little less cold AC air would be appreciated. ) My entree was pimento cheese shrimp and grits and was outstanding. My wife had salmon in a capers and butter sauce, which she continues to say is her favorite meal thus far. Our server was attentive without being overbearing. Pricing for the two meals sans tip was northwards of $125.00 , which seems consistent with pricing at other locations on Hilton Head we've visited.
My husband and I went here for date night and had a wonderful experience. I feel bad I don’t remember the waitress’s name, but she wore glasses and had blondish hair, she was great! We ordered the Seaford pasta and flounder and both were amazing. We each got a cocktail and they were perfect. The green tomato appetizer was also amazing. Beautiful atmosphere. We will be back. Thank you!
We were served fresh bread with olive oil while perusing the menu, and it was delicious. Our party ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp (fabulous!) prime rib (prepared too rare), lobster tails (delicious), and crab cakes (wonderful!). The potatoes were good, as was the asparagus, but the broccoli was a bit crunchy. Our server, Michelle, was delightful!

Received a nice greeting on arrival. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. Good specials. We tried them all. Nice portion size and very flavorful. We even got a free dessert for a birthday. Great job y’all.
