Great little restaurant in Hilo serving Hawaiian food. I had a combo of their laulau (meat cooked to perfection in a ball of taro leaves) and fried rice, which was very tasty and a good sized portion for the price. We were there with a big, noisy family party, including a few people who arrived late, but the service was able to handle us all and the food came out pretty quickly. They only had a couple of dessert options left by the time we'd finished our mains, but what they had was good. Would definitely go back again to try some of their other dishes.
Cool spot in Hilo! Family run restaurant with rich history. Grandparents were kalo (taro) farmers who came from Japan to Hawaii. The family started cooking laulau pork from the kalo leaves and now this restaurant is the legacy! They have 1lb laulau and a mix of Japanese and Hawaiian food! The desserts were very rich too! Got the ube cheesecake and chocolate Reese’s!
Great place to eat. Decent prices. Atmosphere could use some work. Would recommend to everyone.
