Had a chance to visit today and I'm so glad that I did. Amazing experience started with Deedee....who was so friendly and helpful. We ended up getting Spicy Ahi Poke, Spicy Lobster Poke, Garlic Butter Scallop Poke and the Mix Plate Poke. Every single one was super fresh and super flavourful!!! If you're in town, be sure to stop buy...you won't regret it. Enjoy.

Delicious poke bowl and plenty of food for lunch! So many poke options. Came by at 1pm on a Monday and luckily they still had lots left. They also let me try a tiny bit of the two I was leaning towards before buying!

Hamachi Poke: 5/5 2 Choice Poke with Marlin Magic and Shoyu Ahi: 3/5 Fish has excellent quality! Hamachi poke was really delicious. Good ratio between rice and fish. Rice is seasoned. 2 Choice Poke was a lot of fish. Which is really good! For us it was a bit too much. But that’s personal taste. Marlin had some chewy pieces in it. Overall excellent poke here in Hilo

We got a couple poke bowls with two scoops recommended by the staff: ahi spicy and ahi taegu. We both preferred the taegu! The poke itself was good (but not amazing), but the rice was pretty terrible and hard. Seems like it had been sitting for a long time. Maybe only tourists get rice here? 😂 I do wish there was the option to include a side or two as a plate, but we ended up grabbing a side of pineapple which was really delicious! Service was friendly. A bit overpriced. We were underwhelmed and wouldn’t return.

Probably the best Poke in the state, if not the world but Please please please bring back the poke-plate! Raise the price if you have to. It’s just so much more convenient and it’s been our staple every time we come!

Probably the tastiest and freshest bowl of poke I had during my stay in Hilo. You know it's good when even a local recommends it! I arrived early in the morning and jumped right in with shoyu ahi, wasabi ahi, mango habanero ahi and shrimp on a bed of piping hot furikake rice. Keep in mind this is a seafood market, not a restaurant :) Show up early (or before they sell out) and grab a seat at the gardens to enjoy your meal by the water.

Definitely a must visit place if you like poke! The best poke place on the island! The fish is so fresh that it melt in the mouth. Suisan has a lot more choices of poke compared to others on the island. We bought about 1/2 pound each of the spicy ahi and lobster salad poke. The spicy level was just right for us. Both poke have big chunk of ahi and lobster. The lobster salad poke also has flying fish eggs which made the poke has a crunchy texture. Yummy!!! We also like the fact that one can choose between white rice, brown rice, and salad.

Delicious! First time trying poke, and it was so fresh with great flavor in the sauces! Enjoyed our bowl while sitting at an oceanfront picnic table in a garden park less than 100 yards from the shop, and we were even able to watch the windsurfers. Perfect Hawaiian experience!

Here’s what you need to know: awesome poke and seafood place that’s super popular with locals and tourists alike. Best Otoro (fatty blue fin tuna) I’ve had in The US. Melts in your mouth perfection. Long wait lines so be ready for that. Poke was really good too but the rice was lacking. They also have some awesome seafood platters and unique epicurean options like monk fish liver. Overall, we are so happy we got to try this place and it was worth the wait. Great quality. Meal for 4 was $100 because of otoro which was 60 on its own.

The store closes at 3pm and we got there at 2:58pm on a Monday. They weren't serving traditional poke bowls with rice because they were so close to closing but we were able to get 4 poke sashimi to go and eat at the beach which was about $50. The fish was fresh, big chunks and very delicious. My favorite was the ahi!! The shoyu was good but a little salty too eat on its own, but would have been perfect with rice (if only we had gotten there sooner)... Parking was plentiful on the streets. Masks are required along with temperature check and cleaning your hands with sanitizer.
