The best menu and chef by far in Greenville. If you are in this area it is a “must go”.
We had my son's wedding rehearsal dinner at Plum Tree. The owners/ chef we very gracious and generous from the first discussion to the actual meal. The room was beautiful. The servers were amazing and attentive. The food was delicious and served perfectly even though they had to manage 31 plates. We have been eating here for over 12 years and I have never had a bad meal. We are very grateful for Plum Tree helping us make amazing memories for our bride and groom.
By far, my favorite restaurant in Greenville. The food is always good, always fresh, the atmosphere is so relaxed, and the owners are super friendly! The mandarin salad- oh yes!!! I'm not a true salad fan but hands down, this salad is the best I've ever had!
We went there this evening to celebrate our anniversary. The service was fantastic, even though there was a private event going on. we had the brie appetizer, which my husband loved, I thought it was a bit too sweet. we really enjoyed the apple slices it is served with. we both liked our meals, his tuna was perfectly cooked and delicious. My salmon was very tasty but I like it more medium than it came out. It was not overcooked but not as rare as I like. The whole meal was delicious can't wait to come back again.
Went last night with my daughter in law. We shared the pimento cheese appetizer, had a mandarin salad and a chef salad, she had the scallops with ravioli and I had chicken Francesco. Everything was amazing! The food was crafted expertly, served hot and with a smile. Wait staff was very attentive and the atmosphere is quiet and cozy. We will definitely return.
The food was very good, but the kitchen easily gets backed up. We waited over an hour after our appetizers to get our dinners. The waiter did not come back for long periods of time. We had to constantly Flagler waiter down to ask for water and drinks. Honestly, the service was not very good. I would have given this restaurant a three-star, but the food was really good.
My recommendation is not to go on a Friday or Saturday night when they are busy. You're better off trying to grab a late lunch when the kitchen isn't very busy.
The waiter did explain that they had several large groups and the kitchen was backed up. I did not expect for this to turn into a two-and-a-half-hour dinner. The restaurant had very nice ambience. It would be a perfect romantic dinner especially if you wanted to spend a ton of money and a long time at dinner.
Good Food & Great Atmosphere. We had a small little dinner party there for my sister and everyone loved their food. For our group of friends it's hard to satisfy everyone but Plum Tree Bistro some how did the impossible. The service was great. The staff was attentive and the chef came out to talk to everyone to make sure we were happy with the food. I ordered the escargot appetizer and duck breast with blueberry compote for my entree. It was cooked perfectly and the escargot was satisfying as well. I did not order a dessert but those who did couldn't stop raving about how good it was. The brownie seemed to be everyone's favorite.
I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who is tired of chain restaurant food and wants something a little more sophisticated.
Don't let the outside fool you! The inside is very beautiful and romantic. The food is divine and the service was good! The baked brie was perfect, and like eating dessert first! The island martinis were a great choice. The duck and chicken were both scrumptious as well as the homemade dressing for the salads! Will definitely return!
