Food was Delicious. Will go again tomorrow; family loved it. They also have alcoholic bevarages. The quesadilla plate was a childs plates, it was a big serving, both of my children ate from that plate. Authentic Salvadorian and Mexican food. Great staff
Everything was good. This was the best food I had all week in Galveston. Crazy Cow try it!
Food is always delicious and fresh. One male waiter in particular goes above and beyond customer service. Drinks are yummy and fresh. Never had any issues and every time I got to Galveston we have to come eat here!
I'll come back to check out their well prepared, tasty food. Their menu includes many Tex-Mex favorites with Salvadoran touches. Prices are mostly in the $10 to $20 range for dinners. Meal portions are excellent and the taste quality is superb!
We get the same thing every time we go to Rivera so it's tough to give much detail on a review. In addition to our favorite meal, we like their chips and salsa. It's been consistently good for the last three years.
Excellent food. Some of the best we had while staying in Galveston. I got the chicken alcapulca and it was loaded with flavor. The Pico was some of the best I have ever had and I have had a lot of good Pico. The service was wonderful and the place was friendly and inviting. If you are visiting Galveston stay away from the overpriced seawall restaurants and give the locals a try. You will not be disappointed.
The food was excellent. This is at its core a Salvadorian restaurant. It looks and feels like it. It will not feel like a chain store. The servers will try but probably not come across as professional. Just ask if you need something. Order either of the two fried yuca dishes or fried plantains. Then order two or three pupusas. You won't regret it.
Don't listen to the picky tourists, the food here is authentic and very very good. The salsa and guac are fresh obviously made in house, the refried black beans are, as far as I understood, vegetarian and VERY good, delicious plantains, and my mom said the pupusas were good. We went before closing and didn't have a problem with the service at all. Diamond in the rough Hispanic restaurant, we'll be back!

One of three of my favorite Mexican restaurants on the island. The homemade tortillas are wonderful. And my Chili Rellano filled with fajita meat was perfect. I have now ordered it twice. They have good South American beers. You can be sure we will return!
I enjoyed the food and the coca Mexicana. For a small place they stay busy and seemed like a family restaurant with only 2 people on the floor but they were awesome! Customer service and the food just perfect!
