Charming restaurant with limited seating - 9 tables ... Our meal (house-made mozzarella, scallops, tenderloin and halibut) was excellent and I would highly recommend one of the house wines - 2007 Coho 5 Nobles (rich flavour, plum on the palette). Our server, Tanya, provided outstanding service.

Excellent food. We had the four course dinner with wine and had the game hen as our main course. The food was excellent. The presentation was superb and above all the waitress was very professional. She waited on all 8 or 9 tables by herself and she have not miss a single beat. She was on time and on cue all the time. Very energetic and have a fantastic personality. I can eat in Coho Restaurant everyday. Unfortunately, we save the best for last (our last night at San Juan Island). We are surely going back there and I already told all my friends about it. We are coming back with a big group of people that knows how to appreciate excellent service and food!
We were a party of 8 at Coho tonight. If I could give ten stars, I would. Our meals were prepared to perfection and truly this restaurant has the edge on pleasing a discerning palette. The service was excellent, and the ambiance is beautifully romantic. I'm talking white tablecloths, fresh flowers, beautiful music in the background, and comfortable, spacious seating. Elegant, understated lights in the center of each table work magic, which the olders of our group appreciated so much!
Food was excellent but the service was clumsy. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks. The servers seemed flustered at times and couldn’t remember if we had ordered or not. Two different servers told us about the specials but neither took our order, etc… Other tables were having similar experiences. If the front of the house can get it together, this place could be 5 stars. The halibut and beef tenderloin were absolutely delicious. The carrot soup was amazing and the the salad was perfect. I would definitely come back.
The food and entire experience was wonderful - a highlight of our weekend on San Juan. The chef even came out to welcome us and brought our 1.5 year an extra special bowl of the most delicious strawberries she’s (I’ve) ever had. ❤️
Everything we ordered was perfectly prepared and plated. We particularly loved the current scallop dish, the roasted veggies with the chicken and all of the fresh deserts. We can’t wait to go back next time we’re in Friday Harbor to try out their new menu since we know it changes with the seasons and local availability of ingredients.
Some items were absolutely divine, like the drinks, pork belly, and desserts. Other items, like the lamb gnocchi and crab cakes were just ok. They weren't bad but both a bit dry with a slightly dull flavor. Service was fantastic and would definitely visit again.
Food was amazing, staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The chefs are doing a fabulous job. 6 course testing menu was absolutely delicious and even the drinks featured local sourced ingredients like lavender and locally distilled gin. Highly recommend.
We stayed in the apartment above the Coho Resturant. Cute and clean as well as being a perfect location in Friday Harbor to stay.
Although we didn't try the food, the smell from the kitchen was amazing! We stayed ado busy on the Island we missed out...next time.
Had Thanksgiving Day dinner here and it was incredible. Very cute little restaurant in the living room of a house. Great service and a well thought out 6-course meal.
It was our first time in Friday Harbor and this was the restaurant we splurged on, we did not regret it! It was small inside and the servers were very attentive and friendly. The food and drinks were incredible and the margarita had such a fun presentation. The flavor combinations of the corn masa dish blew our mind. Would definitely come back
We’re repeat travelers to the San Juan’s and this is the best fine dining experience available on San Juan Island. They seem to be committed to supporting local agriculture with a fresh seasonal menu featuring regional farmers. Thoughtful vegetarian options were available and the chef was willing to accommodate other dietary needs as they were able after we gave prior notice. All in all a very enjoyable dining experience and a great choice for a special evening.
Amazing food and service! I'm not sure the price quite matched the quantity/quality of the food, but it was pretty close. We had the most friendly waitstaff too!
