Second night open under new management, chef. Incredible meal. Loved the Sea Food Bowl and the intriguing yogurt based Dutch dessert. Can't wait to eat my way through the rest of the menu. Craft cocktail menu is awesome.

Absolutely a delicious surprise! The service was impeccable and food was incredible. We had the dungeoness crab caprece, it was so delicious I could have eaten a 2nd one! Our main course was the cedar planked Copper River Salmon and it was cooked perfectly. To finish we had the pistachio white chocolate pie, well, that was worth the calories for sure! You have to check this place out, we can't wait to go back!!

Food, service, atmosphere everything was perfect. One of the best dining experiences in the state. The restaurant has a close to forest feel and is set up beautifully. We were seated by the door to the outdoor area and had spiders close to us. Thankfully they were not interested in us or our food. Tables in the main dining space would have been better.

Really great dinner on the Island and service. I believe it was all locally sourced food. Portions are great too. Sunday night they had brisket. We were hesitant to try as we are from TX but glad we did. I had the salmon and it was so fresh and perfectly cooked. PS burrata and pear salad amazing

Fantastic atmosphere and setting. Cocktails were a bit weak but that's a matter of taste, not quality. Food was great, we had both the halibut and the duck, with fondue and oysters as appetizers. Don't miss out on the delicious butters!

First of all, this place is expensive so keep that in mind. This is a beautiful restaurant with wonderful servers and good food. This place is about 10 minutes to the harbor so it’s not very far from everything else. The atmosphere and nature is stunning at night. Overall it’s a good restaurant, but I don’t know if it’s worth the price.

Charming restaurant tucked away in the woods with innovative veggie forward dishes. Service was superb. The whole place is thoughtfully designed. Best meal I had on San Juan Island.

Duck Soup is an experience and a pleasure. We've been fans of Duck Soup for over two decades now. And tonight was our first visit since the covid pandemic occurred. It was still as exquisite and marvelous as always and a great way to spend a Father's Day evening. The food has amazingly delightful with fanciful layers of flavors. Their delicious creations are truly unique and incredible. We started with appetizers of their Pork Belly, which was so tender it just melted in your mouth, and Lamb Meatballs, which were savory and perfectly spiced. For entrées we had the Duck Breast, which was fantastic with an orange-carrot puree, and the Spring Pasta with the bright and lively flavors or sweet peppers and locally grown fresh peas. All capped off with martinis and their unfathomable, but truly remarkable, Dandelion Ice Cream Sundaes! WOW! The staff, many of whom have been there for years (huge thanks to Inness and Anna Lisa!) are the most exemplary and incredible I've ever seen. They really go above and beyond to make sure your dining experience is superb. Bravo to you all! They have an excellent selection of curated wines and some fun seasonal cocktails. And their menu changes with the seasons so there are always new dishes and flavors to experience. Reservations are definitely needed. We highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back again! And thank you Duck Soup for the many wonderful, and delicious, memories! Just one suggestion to future patrons: either reserve a booth or bring your own seat cushion (see below). PS to Duck Soup - your new dining chairs, although artistically rustic-modern, were absolute torture to sit on for our 2 hour meal! Just a small suggestion to add seat cushions. Or better yet, burn them all and get something comfortable. That's all. 😄

If you're looking for an excellent meal in San Juan island, skip anything on Friday Harbor and check out Duck Soup. When Halibut was in season, it was the best I've ever had. The vegetables are prepared almost perfectly, pork belly cuts like butter, clam chowder is off the chain, and the desserts are fab. The service here is also top notch. Emma is wonderful, informative, and a kind human. I can't stress enough that if you're looking for a great dining experience, you should first come to duck soup and then try everything else. You won't be disappointed in your selection. Don't forget to make your reservation today!

We loved everything about Duck Soup. The staff was wonderful and made us very comfortable- our waitress Julia was especially great. Both the garden and the interior are beautifully decorated. The cocktails are lovely and the bartender went above and beyond when my Mom requested a passion fruit cosmo. The food was delicious and interesting- I especially recommend the duck.

Service was superb, atmosphere is ideal (not too loud or crowded, nice lighting). All the food we had was delicious with the sole exception of the Korean Tofu Noodles, which was bizarrely bad at a place where everything else was so tasty. Great place, just don't order the tofu noodles.
