The service by Gladys and Mrs. Betty was nothing short of superb. They provided exceptional customer service. The food was seasoned perfectly and presentation was great! I highly recommend this restaurant.
Enjoyed our experience! Just had breakfast ordered chicken and waffles and French toast with sausage. Got two orders of pancakes 😂 but they gave us a free waffle and I was not bothered I think I would of rather a pancake and they read my mind. Food was delicious, sausage was flavorful. Coffee strong. Staff was kind. Definitely will visit again in the future.
Great tasting soul food. Plenty of choices of food on the menu. Fried or grilled meat choices. Great pricing. Clean and friendly environment.
I had the fried pork chops with yellow rice, mac and cheese with potato salad. Will go back again and try the desserts.
One of the best soul food places to eat. We always come here when we are in town. Miss Betty and her staff are the nicest ppl and i have NEVER had a bad dish .
Food is excellent. Grits were tasty, biscuits are outstanding, fish was fried the way we like it. Danielle was our server and she was prompt, friendly, personable and attentive. Met Betty the owner and right away we understood why she has been in business so long. She is knowledgeable and definitely a people person. My only suggestion is that they spend some money on having the bathrooms updated. I wish people understood what a unkempt bathroom says about the business. Definitely would go back the next time I'm in town!
This was my 1st time at Betty's. I had an amazing time experience a pillar of the community. Betty's business has been in Ft. Lauderdale for 50yrs.
The food was scrumptious, delicious and organic. We had turkey wings and catfish with sides of sweet potatoes, cabbage, collard greens, red velvet cake,and lemonade.
I love soul food and this was the best soul food I've ever had. Our waitress was so nice and Betty's son is the chef. This family restaurant is one you will fall in Love with. The old school music playing set the vibe while eating our food. We will definitely be back every trip to Miami.

I had the catfish entree with French fries (instead of rice), corn bread, and candied yams. My server was Gladys, and the cooks were Jah and Jeremy. The fish and fries were fried perfectly, and the candies yams were perfect, too. The cornbread was pretty basic though (it didn’t taste homemade). I’d definitely return again. I was the only person there when I visited as I arrived 20 minutes within closing time, so I received very personalized service.
The food was great and we were well taken care of. Plus we get to speak with Ms Betty herself.
Betty’s Restaurant Is so Awesome! She’s so amazing and a great spirit and it shows in her cooking! It’s been a decade since I was introduced to her restaurant by a friend. Thanks Betty

Wonderful place, just look at the food, Staff is friendly, & food is priced right. Have been in the area 2 full days & ate here twice, good neighbor spot & all that comes with it, wish there was place like this in my hometown.
