Amazing atmosphere, knowledgeable and friendly staff, wonderful food. Our wait for a two top was 30 minutes, the hostess suggested going to the bar upstairs for drinks and a place to sit, so we did. The bartender, who we later learned was the proprietor, was very personable and extremely well versed in both food and beer. We had a great conversation and within 15 minutes we had our table. Our waitress was great and seemed to like the menu inside and out. Overall the best experience we’ve had at a restaurant in years. Thank you so much to the staff and owner.
Don't go here dressed for fancy, go casual and ready to wait awhile for seating and to be served. This particular stop we got there at a busy time and had to wait a half hour to be seated and another half hour for our order. We didn't mind, we knew the food here is worth the wait. No matter what you eat, it's sooo good. We like the no rush laid back style, beside the wonderful food. I don't think we'll eat anywhere else when in the area.
So my friends and I read all the reviews of Secret Sandwich Society and thought people may have just been exaggerating, well I guess they were not! Great sandwiches!! The jalapeño coleslaw was amazing also the pimento fries also all the sandwiches!! If your in the area I would definitely check this place out.
We came here for a late lunch when we were visiting for the weekend.
This place must be popular. We got there at 2:30 and there was a 30 minute wait for a table much to our surprise.
We split 3 sandwiches--the Lafayette, the Roosevelt, and the McKinley. Of the three, the McKinley was by far our favorite. We weren't very impressed by the Roosevelt and the Lafayette was fairly good but the chicken was a little dry.
We also all split the loaded pimento cheese fries. They were good, but I've had better pimiento cheese. As far as sides, we tried both the chips and the regular fries. Both were good, but I liked the chips the most.
Overall this is a solid lunch spot to stop for sandwiches. Come with a small group or expect to wait.
Liked this place alot. Service was outstanding. Outdoor seating. Not a huge place. Long staircase to get to it. Chips
are great. Fries for $1 more were fine but next time I'd go chips. Coffee was really good. Fillmore was amazing. Eisenhower was good.
This place had delicious and creative Sandwiches. The service was good. It seems like there is often a wait but they have a lovely place to chill and get a drink. I did not try there burgers but they looked good. Next time I am in the area this will be high on my list of places to go.
Some of the best food we have had in a long time! If you're passing through Fayetteville or visiting the National River Park, be sure to stop here! We shared the Kennedy sandwich and the Zeus salad. The sandwich was absolutely phenomenal, with a generous portion of very flavorful meats. The accompaniments and bun were just the right amount to add to the overall experience, but not detract from the meat. We also upgraded to fries and added a side of the rosemary mayo, which is so worth the calories! The salad was good sized, flavorful and had as lot of hearty ingredients. This place is popular and can get busy, so a phone-in or walk-up to-go order is a good suggestion!
Amazing burgers and fries. Pimento cheese was the best I've ever tasted and the house made sauces were phenomenal! I don't think you could go wrong with anything at this place! Placed a phone in order, paid over the phone and easy pickup at the window. Definitely a must visit when in the Fayetteville area.
My friends and I came here for a Sunday lunch! We were able to be seated immediately without a reservation. and they served us really nice we really liked that.
The food was also great and was prepared perfectly.
I love this place! Their food is good but the star of the show is the pimento cheese fries! The sandwiches are good & a good draft list too. I would certainly recommend visiting this shop when you’re in town.
