Peadens

We went out there to celebrate my birthday and the service was awesome. And the food was really fresh, hot and delicious. We both got the large combo plates.I love the hush puppies and slaw. I think I am going to have to go back to get some slaw when I fix my own BBQ. It taste just like my mama's

The venue and service were great. I was just not impressed with the food. The coleslaw was bland. Lidle sells better. The BBQ meat was average at best, I never got BBQ sauce to put on it. Instead, it was some multi-purpose sauce. The popcorn shrimp was decent, I did get a lot so that was nice. I always see this placed packed, so I figured I give it a go.

I have eaten at Peadens quite a few times and the food has always been fantastic. Last night I was not only disappointed in the fried flounder but also how long it took us to get our food. One thing I can say is that their hushpuppies are the best in town we got full on them while we waited for our food.

I started out ready for a good dining experience. The wait for seating for two seemed very short, but our positive feelings drained away as long minutes crawled by. We were seated approximately 20+ minutes before our server took our drink choices, and we stopped her before she left to give her our meal choices. Canned drinks with a styrofoam cup of ice was brought to our table fairly promptly. The disappointment started because of the long wait for our meals. The hush puppies were provided while we waited - and waited. I had almost got up to leave when our server came by and reassured us our meals were almost ready. Over 15 minutes later, our meals arrived. The fried shrimp were very good. My plate included fried oysters and a slice of fried tilapia. Our meals were very good, but there are other seafood restaurants. We will not be returning to Peadens.
