El Rancho Grande

My daughter and I dined here last night after the wait at Texas Roadhouse exceeded an hour. Walking through the restaurant to get to our seat, I was impressed by the spacious and modern design. We were seated near the waitstaff and POS stations. Our waiter was certainly not one for detail and lacked listening skills. Both of our orders contained discrepancies, although minor and not worth mentioning. The one thing that was completely out of line was having to listen to the group of employees standing around the waitstaff table and gossiping. They were swearing a lot and I overheard that a girl even had a cell phone she was trying to sell. Why can't they gossip outside and not in front of customers? And why do they have to swear in from of families who are trying to eat? Wasn't there enough for them to do so they were not all standing around? I found this to be a complete disregard for the diners. The food was pretty good. I enjoyed my burrito and the house salsa was nice.
