The River Palm Terrace

Nice restaurant, but a bit on the dark side. Not easy to read menu or enough light to see my food well to trim the fat. Bit on the noisy side as well due to crowds. Dinners came with complimentary house salad. Crab cakes were good. Steaks were good, but mine was a bit undercooked. Service was ok, better to go when it is less busy. No one checked on us for long periods and we had to flag our waiter who was busy with other tables. Expected more in service since it is an expensive dinner we should get service to match. Manager was great, checking on table and pitching in versus just standing around.

Great experience here. The staff were excellent and very attentive. Their recommendations were accurate and weren't salesy to get us to order the most expensive stuff or lie that "Everything is great". We had a sushi roll and bacon for apps, both very good. Every entree comes with a salad automatically. I then got the special ribeye which was delicious. Perfectly cooked, and super tender. The flavor could have been better, but I'll still highly rate it. My wife got the burger and said it was awesome. Classic mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Warm brownie with peanut butter ice cream was incredible. I wanted so many things in the menu and I'll have to come back to try others.

After a really tough few months, came back to NJ from the city with very good health news. Dropped by the River Palm Terrace to celebrate with some drinks and appetizers. As usual, everything was excellent, from the service to the food. I’ve never had a bad meal, poor service or an unpleasant experience here.

Everything about my husband and my time here was wonderful! We made reservations and was seated immediately. The entire staff was attentive and helpful. Our server was Carlos whom had awesome suggestions (chocolate lava cake with graham cracker gelato) and was so pleasant! Pineapple Martini was excellent, food was on point! We will definitely be back! Thank you everyone from the valet to the wait staff- for a memorable time!

Can’t believe it took me 10 years finally try out this restaurant, even though I have been driving past it of that many years. A favorite among its guests, they get packed quickly, so reservations are ideal. They have free valet parking which is great. Their guests are from all sorts, really upscale to regular. Probably they are the first place in my experience, who has a humongous menu, and are good with all of it. They have burgers, sandwiches, pasta, steak, high end steak, seafood, and to top it all, sushi and sake. We started with the crab cake, octopus and liver. All three were supremely yummy. Crab cake was soft, octopus was tender, and liver was delicate. For entrees we got the 14oz Prime Rib eye and the single african 8-10 oz lobster tail. Both of them were outstanding. The lobster tail was one of the biggest I have seen in my life. Both of the came with complimenting sides. We ended our meal with the Tahitian Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee. It was also a hit for us. Loved the sweetness of the dessert. Through out our dine, we had exceptional service. Our server regularly checked on us, explained all our questions, packed all our left overs in the kitchen. Other servers helping around were also very attentive, regularly filling our drinks glasses and removing empty plates. The food also comes out within a decent wait time. We had an amazing experience at River palm terrance. We are glad to have found this gem, as this will be one of our go to places for celebrating big occasions.
