Great improvement. I’d been to City Pub numerous times. It had fallen so far over the past few years. It USED TO have such an amazing burger. That said, the reboot was so necessary. The remodel is epic. New kitchen, fixed up bathrooms, very good food (try the green chili and the Big Bang Burger - I want to make babies with that burger).
Atmosphere is great. Still respects its history, it’s still the Toby Jug, just not stinky. The neighborhood needed The Hound...desperately.
This place rocks! Has never been the same since Toby Jug! Staff and food are awesome too!
I love City Pub. It is one of my favorite restaurants in Denver. It's a casual eatery with a pool table and a shuffleboard field. There is a bar with tap beers and a wide range of pops and sodas. The menu is classic American food, and there is a wide selection of food to choose from. The price is relatively reasonable and the staff are friendly, fast, and treat you like a regular every time! I would recommend this restaurant for ages 8+.
This had a comfortable feel. It was bigger than I expected but maintained the pub like feel. Food was good. Beer was good. If I lived nearby, I would probably be a regular.
Damn good burgers, good green chili and great service. I was pleasantly surprised. Oh...the beer selection on tap was good too. I had the face down beer.
Food was great awesome ipa selection and beer flights.... Best burger I've had in a while... Low key atmosphere sorta dive bar. I'll be back again and again for the food alone... Pricing was average for the area afternoons are best! No idea what the night crowd is like or how late the kitchen stays open.
I'm pretty fond of this place. Not everything on the menu is quite up to par though. They could benefit from trimming the menu options just a bit to focus on what they're best at. I can say the burgers and smothered burritos have always been very tasty though.
I've always received lovely service from both the bartender and the wait staff. A great place for a lot of good beer, some games (billiards, darts, etc) and a bite to eat. A good choice for a relaxing evening with friends
The BEST wait staff EVER! The food is delicious and I've never had a dinner salad that had Hard Greens, mushrooms, peppers and onions for 3 bucks, REALLY! What a deal!! Friday night Prime Rib for 15.50? Who does that? WOW! I'm definitely going back!
I came back after my last visit about 5 years ago. I had to try the "Best Burger in Denver" again to see if it was as good as I remember. It was. The atmosphere is pretty much what you'd expect from a bar, but the service was good and I didn't have to wait to get a refill on my soda. No complaints.
