Nancy's Steak House

Staff did not seem very friendly or happy to be at work. Ordered the chopped steak which came with a salad and one side. This lunch special was $12.99. Salad plate was really small. But salad bar had a good variety. The salad bar was pushed against a wall making it hard to reach items on the back side. I am pretty sure it was designed to be used from both sides not just one. Cool rustic and cowboy decor on the inside. It was clean and felt comfortable inside. The chopped steak was quite good with a brown gravy and grilled onions and mushrooms on too. The sweet potato fries was cooked just right, not over done as is common. Portion size was good and I would come back if in town again.

Driving thru town took a chance on this place because it had my name on it. We were not disappointed by any means. The staff was courteous and attentive. Then the food came out and we were taken back by how delicious everything was. From the flavors to the way things were cooked, it was as close to perfect as it could get. The chicken breast was juicy, the sausage tasted homemade. The Texas steak sandwich was bursting with flavor.

On our way to San Antonio we stopped in Columbus and we were happy to find Nancy’s Steak House! My wife had their Spinach Chicken with a Caesar salad, I had a 10oz Ribeye (also with a Caesar salad) and sautéed vegetables which were excellent, we were both pleased! Our server was on her third day and was eager to please, ask for Alicia C.

Food: Got a Caesar salad and croutons were homemade and had a sweetness to them. They were very good. The salad itself was crunchy and the dressing was not overpowering. They have wheat rolls with honey butter that was absolutely delicious. Split the tenderloin tip and the Buffalo chicken wings and I was not let down! The tenderloin tips melted in my mouth, the potatoes are amazing and the entire sauce it was in, delicious. The wings were really good as well, spicy enough to have a small tingling in my mouth. All the food was the perfect temperature when it came to me. Service: absolutely wonderful service. Atmosphere: cozy and warm. Cocktails: my friend got two cocktails and liked them both.

All the charm of a TEXAS STEAKHOUSE, Complete with John Wayne. Going in I felt this had to a great choice to dine on a chunk of cow. The salad bar was fresh and clean couldn't ask for anything better there. My 3 star rating is completely on flavor. There was zero seasoning on the grilled veggies and the ribeye had no seasoning at all. A little s&p goes a long way. The butter would be great addition if it was a compound butter and not just a scoop of margarine. Overall I'd go back again but I'd also ask the cook/chef to season my food during the cooking process.
