Theatre Cafe

Went in last friday, beautiful place, the food was great as well. I had the smoked manhattan and my wife had a glass of wine. Had the meatballs to start and for dinner I had the chicken Marsala with potatoes and broccolini, my wife had the strozpretti. Food was a little over priced but the tiramisu was delicious. Greg was wonderful! Will be back again!

Finally tried Bar Cicchetti and was not disappointed. The location was inside the beautiful Westin Hotel in downtown Columbus. Ordered a cocktail, the Italian sausage pizza, the squid ink pasta, the Brussels sprouts appetizer and the Tiramisu dessert. Everything was great. But if you are into seafood, then I highly recommend the squid ink pasta! Will definitely come back for it!

Really outstanding food. Service was certainly not rushed, but rather felt inattentive. Server forgot to put our appetizer in and then charged us for two pieces of crostini when we asked for bread with our pasta dish (we asked for the bread and don't mind paying for it, but it would have been a nice gesture considering the oversight regarding the appetizer). The main courses were excellent, I highly recommend the Chicken Marsala. The double espresso ordered at the end of my meal was served warm, not hot. I think that the demitasse must not have been warmed when the espresso was being brewed. The cups were on top of the espresso machine, which normally warms them sufficiently, but the AC was working overtime in the hot weather. I would definitely return if I were in Columbus again, the food was excellent, hopefully the server training improves before than.

The food was exceptional, especially the appetizers! Our waitress, Alyssa, enhanced the experience with spot on recommendations on the wine and the menu. She was exceptionally knowledgeable of every ingredient in each meal and helped us make the best choices. She was present for our every need with our being overbearing. Definitely will become a regular location for before play dinners in future!

Great little dinner spot in the hotel. It wasn't too busy when we got there. Our server was wonderful and knew the menu really well! We ordered the focaccia and whipped ricotta, the Mediterranean salad, chicken thigh Milanese (I think) and the Bolognese. After dinner we had tiramisu and an espresso martini. The martini left something to be desired but everything else was good. I think the first 2 courses were my favorite.

Historic beautiful building in downtown Columbus. What formerly was the Thurber Bar has been transformed to a lively bright dining venue. The Windows to High St. are perfect for people watching and sunsets. Menu offers a variety of appealing choices to all appetites and dietary preferences. After several visits to Bar Cicchetti neither I nor individuals in our party were disappointed. Have shared appetizers of octopus, roasted brussel sprouts etc; main courses are nicely presented and remarkably flavorful. The seafood, salad and pizza selections were fresh and superior ingredients. The staff is welcoming, attentive but not intrusive, knowledgeable and willing to recommend and perfectly describe menu from bar or kitchen. From entry to exit Bar Cicchetti is a excellent choice for dinning. A nice selection of tables and booths.

Such a fabulous spot for delicious food. We've been multiple times and every visit has been great. Every dish is tasty, and I’ve tried as many as possible. The octopus is amazing as are all the pastas I’ve sampled. Service tonight by Alyssa was spot on, she was tremendous! Not a spot to miss if you’re looking for downtown dining!
