The chips are good. The barbecue was tasty pepper I had the smoked chicken which had a little more pepper flavor than I was expecting which was a nice surprise. The salad was very delightful. I was just surprised to spend $50 for three people for lunch. But I suppose when you handcraft or meets that’s what you should expect to pay.

Really good burnt ends here, I mean really good! I ordered 2 different types of coleslaw to give a new flavor a try, one was a traditional creamy slaw and the other was pretty much the same but with a touch of horseradish, the creamy was pretty much standard fare and the horseradish was just OK but to each their own. The pickles were good too. The staff was friendly and great and as a bonus the music selection was far different from the typical country jamboree you hear at bbq restaurants and awesome; very much appreciated!

Lutz BBQ catered our wedding and it was AWESOME!!! We got married on Cinco De Mayo 2018...so we had to have tacos... I didn't want traditional tacos, so Lutz's worked with me to personalize the menu. They provided handmade tortilla chips and queso for an appetizer. We had bbq pulled pork tacos with coleslaw (all provided by Lutz Bbq). We had pulled chicken which we paired with a pineapple slaw, roasted corn and avocado ranch (the chicken provided by Lutz's, my brother-in-law made the rest). And last but not least, we had fried fish provided by Lutz's and paired it with a mango salsa and chipotle mayo also made by my brother-in-law. We added Lutz's salad, mac n' cheese and coleslaw as sides. We were just at a wedding last weekend (1.5 years later) and our entire table was talking about how it was the best wedding food they have ever had! This wasn't the first time we've heard people say that! They are easy to work with, it tastes delicious, it's cooked on site and very reasonable. You can not go wrong with hiring them for your big day!

Great BBQ in Columbia, from a family chain that began in Jefferson City, Missouri. We are glad to enjoy this one in Columbia! Award winning for their sauces and meats! Good food, quick at a fair price. But don't go on Sunday--they are closed on that day!

I was passing through town and stopped in because I heard a guy talking about this place on the radio. Staff was very friendly, restaurant was very clean. I had the combo dinner with burnt ends substituted and homemade chips. Everything was really good. I definitely recommend the homemade chips and ribs.

Lutz's is an average BBQ restaurant. You can't smell them smoking it outside. The burnt ends were tasty, but cold and fatty. The turkey salad was large, but lacked in substance for an entree salad. The chips were cold and greasy. The cheesy potatoes were not cheesy, runny, cold, and soggy. Things are left at food prep to hasten speed of service and they get cold sitting. Overall, go for the meat which was 4 star quality, but the rest you can do without.

Great location for a BBQ restaurant. The brisket sandwich, fries, and baked beans were all outstanding! The sauce variety was okay, but the mac n' cheese was terrible! It was very bland and had hardly any flavor. If I were just rating the brisket I would certainly go "5 stars", but overall satisfaction needs some improvement.

Pulled Pork AND Sliced Brisket on the same sandwich, very good! Brisket was exceptional. We took a bit of a detour off I-70 to try this place. Worth the extra time. Staff was helpful, service was quick. They have most all meats and cuts you’d expect at a smokehouse. Plenty of other choices and sides on the menu too. We will stop by again if we’re through the area.
