This is he best breakfast place in Columbia. The food is always top notch but what keeps bringing us back is the service!! We have never had a bad experience with the staff here. This operation is superbly managed and everyone is friendly and courteous. We have visited other Eggs Up locations, and this one (Devine St.) is by far the best!
Everyone was so wonderful, friendly and helpful (Laura Bush - our server, the hostess, and I believe someone else checked on us as well). You can really tell they love this place! Laura gave us a few suggestions and let us know we could sub the awesome grilled blueberry muffins for our toast option (you can also sub half a waffle). The homemade corned beef hash was so good I traded away half my bacon for half of it! Everything was hot, fresh and delicious! We will definitely be back!
A pretty good breakfast. I wasn't blown away and it's still second to the Original Pancake House in Forest Acres but I would return if in the area.
The food and service was fantastic we ordered the traditional homefry platter the food arrived quickly and hot ! Will definitely be returning

If you like breakfast then you must try Egg Up Grill!! These ppl really know how to do breakfast. My family and I tried the Columbia SC location. I normally don't like franchise but Eggs Up Grill knows how to do a franchise.
I recommend you try the sweet potato pecan waffle, the loaded home fries platter and add cheese to the grits. My nephew loved his kids meal and we had to order him an extra egg and cheese omelet and my mother ordered an extra waffle to go!!!
The staff was very warm and inviting. Several staff members stopped by our table to check on us. I truly wished I lived closer to an Egg Up Grill! I could definitely see it being a regular breakfast spot for me.
Visited for the first time on Saturday and LOVED it. The food was fantastic. The wait staff was super friendly and helpful. Great new breakfast spot.

Great food, lightning fast on weekdays and getting better on weekends. I've been to the new Eggs Up a few blocks from where I live at least twice a week since they opened last month and all I have to say is the food is DELICIOUS. Wait time has been getting substantially better every every week. As someone who worked at a brand new restaurant in college I know starting out can be rough; the first Sunday we went, the wait was a little over an hour and then our food took another 30 minutes from ordering (but arrived hot and obviously cooked to order). I got the classic breakfast with home fries and sausage patties, my wife got the eggs benedict, and our daughter got some kids pancakes with chocolate chips - which she LOVED and has ordered every time since even when we brought her during lunch (it's shaped like Mickey Mouse). I went back for lunch the next week and got the Tuscan Chicken Salad Melt and it was ridiculously good. Been back for lunch at least once a week since.
I am certainly a person who appreciates every second of extra sleep in the morning and am chronically almost late; however, I've even been waking up 30ish minutes early sometimes to eat breakfast here on my way to work (they open at 6 a.m. with the full menu). Of course it helps that it's only 3 minutes from my house, but still.
I've been back on the weekend 3 times since that first Sunday, each time with my family, and each time it has been faster even with a decent line. Hope it sticks around because we've really needed a good breakfast place in Columbia for a long time. Just an added bonus that their lunch is amazing too!
Yes, it's a chain, but it seems different. It seems to be owned/operated by real people who really subscribe to the philosophy expressed on the website: Breakfast and lunch are what we do. family friendly is who we are. So, they opened last week. I made it over there one day for lunch with my mom and one of her friends. I was pretty hungry, so I didn't photograph anything. But I ordered the Tuscan BLT
