This place is great. As being half viet I know what true viet cuisine tastes like and this is it! Try the spring rolls with char broiled beef! Of course the pho is great too!

Been a patron of this establishment for years. Always loved this place. Stop by for late lunch with the kids after a trip to the museum. Place was empty but a few tables. While trying to place our order server was very impatient like he was in hurry he started gesturing for us to return the menu to him. But we hadn't finished placing our order yet. Rude 1x , brought our bean sprouts & the hoisin/ sriracha sauce to the table not paying attn. or being careful almost shoved it into hubby's hand and got sauce on his pinky. Walked away. Rude 2x. In the middle of the meal- server felt too lazy to walk all the way to our table to check on us so he proceeds to stretch as far as he can & lean over the empty table next to ours & ask if we were okay. Rude 3x!! What happened to their service? This is appalling! If you can't handle the service industry get a new job! By the way food was okay. Did the place go downhill? Or were they having a bad day?
Excellent x3. My husband and I have been coming to #1Pho on Superior for almost 10 years. We have sampled many, many items on the agenda and have never been disappointed. Our staple item A10...the best calamari you will ever eat.
The coffee is an extra treat. It is similar to the coffee I enjoyed in Cambodia.
Amazing Flavors. If you want to eat a meal that is hearty and satisfying, NumberOnePho is your place. We have eaten here numerous times for both lunch and dinner. You know it is good when the locals arrive on foot. At lunch this place draws a great crowd. The dining areas are large, open, clean and pleasant. The place seems much fancier than the price tag would allow. Service is efficient and polite. Try the cabbage salad.....big enough for a meal and bursting with amazing flavors. Of course, a trip would not be complete without ordering Pho.....especially on a cool day! You will get a large bowl of broth loaded with the ingredients of your choice. It is amazing how you can taste all of the different spices at one time. If you have a vegetarian in your party, you will be pleased with the number of great choices. Fast friendly service in a comfortable, relaxing environment. Much better than any other Pho in the area. Highly recommend.
A solid bet.. I'll say, I've had better pho but I've certainly had worse. The place is nice and clean, the service is competent and the price is right. Plus, #1 Pho seems to be open when their competition isn't, so chances are I'll be back regardless.
Vegetarian eggrolls reminded me of KFC. Saturday night , cold and in cleveland, I was craving bun noodles with crunchy spring roll ....but got the Colonel instead. The vegetarian egg roll seasoning tasted like the KFC seasoning. The noodles , nuoc mam , vegetables, sprouts, pickled daikon all fresh & tasty, service so very fast, Work on the rolls.
First Foray into Vietnamese. A pleasant first experience with Vietnamese food. Gracious, attentive servers. We received our food ridiculously fast--though we were there on a weekday afternoon after lunchtime. Good sauces, well-prepared food...would certainly return again.
Great Vegetarian Menu. This is an awesome place. The vegetrian fried spring rolls are like fried food crack. The fresh lemonade is so fresh the sugar crunches in your teeth! The best part is the extensive vegetarian menu....there are actual options here! Best bets are the V4 Vegetarian Soup in Vegetable Base 9 (I suggest adding tofu for $1 for protein), the V9 crunchy egg noodles with tofu and vegetables, and the V7 Curry Noddles and Tofu. If you are an ill vegetarian craving something like chicken noodle soup, get the V4 soup and you'll feel awesome! Pho is the perfect food and no one does it better than #1 Pho!
Pho is a Vietnamese beef noodle soup. It is delicious, but this happens to be the only place I have ever had it. This is TBG's favorite pho. I have nothing to compare to except that this is the only place in North East Ohio to get it. There is a second place, Superior Pho, but it's across the street, so not any closer to my house! I have not eaten anything else here, the beer list is Asian, but a large variety of Asian beers. Sometimes the service is slow, but the last time we were there it went rather quick. The large is very large, I get the small and still can't finish. You can choose which cuts of beef you would like in your soup, it also comes out with a plate of toppings: bean sprouts, Thai basil, housin sauce, sricha, limes and jalapenos. So glad to have found a restaurant that serves authentic Vietnamese food beside Pho. Even though they are called #1 Pho they are so much more. Service was excellent. The server was willing to look at the list of my wants and show me what they had. Thank you for being patient and kind. Sometimes I get overwhelmed looking at food that I'm not familiar with. My fish sour soup (Canh Chua) was full of vegetables and a sweet and sour flavor. The lemonade or maybe called limeade was too sweet for me and no salt or any carbonation. The over all experience was excellent. The walls may need a refresher but the place is clean and spacious. Thank you.
Truly #1 Phô. Amazing Vietnamese restaurant with authentic dishes. Definitely hard the beat.
Great food atmosphere and service. Been here a few times now. The pho p2 on the menu rice noodle with beef and brisket and the strawberry bubble tea is killer

Amazing!! I have never had Vietnamese food before! I was adventurous and went for the fish clay pot! Ooh my goodness I could never adequately describe how delicious all the flavors were! Even the rice! Grandpa Du and his family are incredible anchors to downtown Cleveland. An absolute must for a night in the city!!
Stopped for dinner after the show! Delicious pho as always. Prices have gone up! Summer rolls were mostly filled with noodles.
Delicious pho. Very large portions and lots of meat. Lots of seating and super cozy on the inside. The wait staff was quick and very friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious warm meal
Food never disappoints. Been here like 6 times, the broth is rich with flavor, the beef is tender and the pho is just simply amazing. Chinese guava candy as well. This place also has much bigger serving sizes than other pho places.
Atmosphere is very nice. Clean and comfortable chairs, tv playing music.
Service. Nothing really special, I mean not much you can do so average 4 stars. Glad they have actual sriracha bottles and water with ice in it. (some pho places dont)
Highly suggest going here, not too busy unlike superior pho, food is at a reasonable price, big bowl highly reccomend
By far the best pho I have ever had. We ordered a few dishes to try and not one of them disappointed. The restaurant is small, quaint and clean. There of course was a language barrier but the servers did well and were patient as we figured out answers to questions together.
Unfortunately we don't have any decent Vietnamese restaurants in Lake County, but it was totally worth the drive to downtown. Parking was parallel, down a side street but there was ample amount of spaces (no parking lot available). We'll be headed back down today to make it 2x in a week. I absolutely recommend!
Always fast, always fresh, always friendly and a much more comfortable interior than some of the surrounding restaurants.
It may not be superior, but it IS #1!!!
(Btw, try the butter wings.....my goodness 🤤)
