This place is a staple in the neighborhood for decent food at a good price. It was obvious that the other patrons had been here many times.
My mom would have loved a place like this, and she was very picky.
Our server, Kate, was fantastic! Very knowledgeable about the menu and anticipated our every need.
The service was so good we commented we'd be back before ever tasting the food!
The food was 10/10! The chicken and dumplings soup is a must try.

The food is outstanding. The service was extremely good. The bread was warm and fresh. The prime rib is perfect. We had reservations for 5:00. The only issue I had was that when we arrived, we were asked if we would be finished by 6:30. This made me very uncomfortable. I have no idea when we will be finished with our meal. We were going to get an appetizer. However, we skipped it. We felt like we had to order our food and hurry with our meal. I don't like being rushed. However, I'm not going to hold this against the restaurant. I hope this isn't normal. I will be back, but if I'm asked this question again, I will just leave.
Hands down one of the best steak dinners I’ve ever had. Very reasonably priced, very large portions and everything was amazing! Try the pudding/ice cream cake dessert. We will be back!

It was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. There was a sign on the door about being short staffed, so please be patient. We expected a long wait. We had no wait.
Our server was charming, funny, and really engaging. We had calamari, and both of us had french onion soup, and they were fantastic. My wife had rib-eye, which was cooked perfectly, medium rare. I had a seafood platter with lobster tail, scallops, and shrimp, which the server recommended. Everything was served in perfect time and was great.
All that food came to only 85.00. We were shocked at the incredibly affordable options.
There was a table of 6 near us, and one of the couples were celebrating their 61st wedding anniversary. ❤️ Another table had a family celebrating their Moms birthday. The place had a warming, family feel about it. It seemed like most knew each other, and they all chatted as they left.
I thoroughly enjoyed our stop here on the way to South Bend. It made a hotel reservation blunder seem not so bad.
Great place with great daily specials, awesome staff and delicious foood at very reasonable prices. Traveling along the 90, i read good reviews, so we stopped for lunch. Hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. Everything was delicious and prices cannot be beat. Beef barley soup was flavorful and meaty. Absolutely delicious.
Food was beyond good. Wide variety, from fresh fish to ribs to Italian. They have won an award for their prime rib. Cooked exactly as I ordered, and a very tender high end piece of meat. Atmosphere was old school, with very well trained waiters and waitresses, who brought out our food within 15 minutes of ordering, and the owner greets you at the front door within 30 seconds of walking in,and great deserts. Here for 1 week, ate there 3 times.
I have been going to this restaurant every other year for the past 6 years now to have Thanksgiving dinner with my parents and Aunt (the latter of whom lives nearby and doesn’t wish to cook the meal anymore when it’s her year to host! LOL).
Needless to say, this third visit was just as amazing as the last two times for Thanksgiving. Awesome food (VERY healthy portion sizes!!), nice relaxed atmosphere, and superbly friendly service, which is what I personally expect and appreciate from family-owned businesses like this.
If you have a an opportunity at any point in the year and are looking for a great place for lunch or dinner, check this place out!! WORTH IT!!
The waitress was excellent,this was my first time here,I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of servers working,that is hard to find these days. I got the king cut Prime Rib they had raw horseradish and horseradish sauce I got both.They had a lot of specials to choose from as well.
Excellent rare prime rib, thick-cut, and juicy.
