I came here for lunch while vacationing in the area. I tried the “flight” of Margaritas and could only drink half of each. Delicious and strong! I tried the beef tongue tacos upon recommendation from our waiter, Jake. Didn’t even need a knife to cut the meat - amazing! Jake is a doll and a great waiter. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Such a good spot! I've been a patron at Nuevo for a little over a year now, and I tell you I just can't get enough! Each time I go in, I'm greeted with a smile, I have a knowledgeable server, and everyone I interact with is simply lovely. Regular recommendation: You MUST get the habanero jelly guacamole. Also, they serve the best margaritas in Cleveland. This isn't your typical sour mix and tequila, headache inducing mess.. this is truly a handcrafted, fresh cocktail. the structure of this place itself is enough to bring you in, but the experience is what sells it. Five stars!
Absolutely the best meal we have ever had! Jared was such a pleasure and knowledgeable. The entire atmosphere is amazing. The food is better than authentic food from the countries which the recipe is from!! The chef has a great world of flavors colliding, I have never been more impressed with a restaurant I just happened to park near. I certainly will drive the 6 hours to enjoy Nuevo again! Thank you for the experience!!!
Fun place, good for group events! Fun drinks, decent appetizers (didn't try any of the entrees), really kind and patient staff. Highly recommend exploring some of the cocktails like the Oaxaca Old Fashioned and the Paloma (made with a butterfly pea flower infused tequila that gives it a lovely purple color). Menu is on the pricier end, as you might expect for the trendy, hip-casual vibe.
The restaurant has two stories (stairs and elevator available) with outdoor space on both levels for a nice view of the surrounding area. On the ground floor there's plenty of seating inside and outside, and from the patio there's a convenient window to the bar. The upstairs level can be used for a small performance stage and dance floor. Definitely can get noisy when music and a full house of diners are present. Worth visiting with friends!
The guacamole sampler was incredibly tasty and the view on city side was outstanding. Really enjoyed the brisket tacos. Carafe of margaritas did well for the group. There was an issue with the city messing with the sewer near us and the manager moved us and comped some of our bill. Server named X was personable. Great experience!

Curtis was our fantastic waiter. He was our personal margarita and tequila expert. He also recommended delicious food pairings. What stood out most was his friendly conversation, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Curtis made our dining experience truly enjoyable. The food was absolutely amazing. Recommend the Cubano and the
Nuevo Dip tacos (made with 14hr short rib). 10/10
beautiful view of the water. nice atmospheric live music. pretty park adjacent to the restaurant as well. the pulled pork tacos with the mango salsa damn near changed my life. a little pricey, but i’m fine with it given the location and the experience. i was there a few days ago, and i strongly recommend this if you are looking for some lavish dining. my only (very minor) complaint was the wait, but i consider that my fault given that i should’ve placed a reservation. expect a 30 min wait if its semi busy and you don’t have a reservation. 200% worth the wait tho!
The only thing I knew about Cleveland I learned from Howard the Duck, the cities internationally known ambassador of culture and all things Cleveland. And since I wanted to have an early dinner by the lake, this spot was a natural choice.
The food is great so there really isn't much more I can say there. I could go on about authenticity or how the menu is fascinating mix, but let's be hones, I came to eat, not wrote about what I ate. Try it and if you don't like it, order something else off the menu. And if you still don't like it, we probably wouldn't be friends anyway.
Though we are right on Lake E., the view isn't that great. However, the view of the sand volleyball pit and surrounding stadium creates a relaxing atmosphere. (The beams are really good.)
And finally, the staff. It is always the staff that makes or breaks a place. The staff are absolutely wonderful.
If this is your first time to Cleveland, or you are a local, this spot is worth dropping by.
Very good restaurant. Food is amazing, a little overpriced. The margaritas 🍹 did not have enough alcohol in them. The waiters were very nice and prompt. Location is nice with good views
We had a great experience at Nuevo! It was a lovely night, and we sat out on the patio! There's a fantastic view of downtown, and it looks beautiful as the sun sets! The street tacos were amazing! And we also had the queso fundido. It was delicious! The service was great as well! Overall, we had a fabulous time! Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful afternoon, sitting out on the water at this amazing venue. We had excellent nachos, salsa, and queso, along with the best blood orange margaritas we've ever had. Harley suggested the margaritas and she was on point and did a great job! The service was wonderful and we will be back!

LarderRoom...What could be better than Smoked Brisket Tacos (6 hour hickory smoked) from Nuevo on Taco Tuesday? How about a craft of Jalapeño Cilantro Margaritas! That is always a safe bet! Also, Birria Quesadillas (14 hour beef short ribs) with ancho pepper beef consomme! When I dip, you dip! We all dip! Note. We wanted to try the Birria Ramen but it was sold out. So sad! Will be back!
