As I approached Byron’s hot dogs on Lawrence the first thing I saw was on old style sign high up above the power lines, then as I walked through the car park there was a whole wall painted yellow with the Byron’s sign, a Chicago Dog and a Vienna Beef sign. I love this kind of stuff
A classic hot dog stand. Delicious Vienna Beefs and good fresh toppings. Fries are skinny, fresh, and salty. I'm not sure why they don't have poppy seed buns, but I'll let it pass.
The place has been here for more than forty years, They know what they do best and they stick to it. If you're like me and it was an impulse buy, This scratches an itch when the desire for traditional Chicago food crops up, or what I would call "baseball food." Hot dogs and burgers and sausage and Italian beef.... Good pricing for most of it and service was very fast. I appreciate that they don't skip on the vegetables, Feels more like a meal. I imagine kids would enjoy this just because it's simple and not a lot of frills. I like that they don't screw around, they aren't offering kimchi donut burgers because that's not their shtick... There is a time in place for that stuff. Plus I have respect for anybody who does what they can to maintain Green River as an available soda to the Chicago public. Great lunch!
Really freaking good Chicago style hot dogs. The fries were delicious. The wife was thrilled with her super generously sized Italian Beef Sandwich.
When it comes to amazing Hot Dogs in Chicago I recommend Bryons. Chicago dogs are they speciality but they also serve a delicious chili and cheese hot dog which is my favorite.
Byron’s on Lawrence has always been my favorite. They have great good. Quality options. And amazing staff. Their portions are beyond your typical place and the prices can’t be beat.
Dog & fries are classic. Dog has a good snap always with plenty of condiments. Love the shoestring fries. Green River on tap in the soda fountain.
And you never know when you’re going to dine with Chicago royalty at Byron’s!
Yummy 😋 haven't been here in 20 years, and it's still as delicious!
The best Chicago style dog you’ll find in Chicagoland. This is a true gem of a place. What makes it special is their neon green relish and the hot peppers. Go for either the Polish Sausage or the Bratwurst (if you want pork), you won’t be disappointed.
Nice spot for a Chicago dog or a beef sandwich. They didn't skimp on the beef like a few other independent or chain places tend to do. Give it a try.
First stop in Chicago and wanted to try a Chicago dog. This thing was pretty dang good! I ordered some fries too that came a little later but they were worth it. Would recommend to anyone coming from out of the area looking for a good Chicago style hot dog
