Went to Buona three times during this week as I was in the neighborhood and discovered how delicious their food is for the first time. On different occasions, I greatly enjoyed the chicken Caesar salad and the Italian beef sandwich. I would say that the standout were the French fries. They were very crispy, delicious, and perfectly cooked in a way that I didn't know was possible. Don't skip the fries or Buona.

Excellent Chicago-style Dog! Staff was nice and food came out fast! We had a free beef sandwich from the white Sox game bc juicy beef won the race.
First time having Chicago style dog and it was amazing! Wanted to try Portillos but didn’t want to wait in long lines/crowds per online reviews. Reviews say Buona has better dogs also.

Live across the street and became a regular here. Their food is good. I particularly like their classic beef sandwich and their salads are also fresh and yummy. Staff here are very helpful and friendly. The entire place is also kept clean and cozy. Would give them a 10/10.

An Italian Beef sandwich is one of my favorite Chicagoland things. And in my opinion, Buona makes the best Italian Beef sandwich in Chicagoland. I had another one at their Streeterville location tonight and it was fabulous; just as I’ve come to expect.
To be clear, I go to Buona for their Italian beef sandwiches but their French fries are really in a league of their own as well. Crispy, hot, and tender on the inside. They are possibly the best I’ve ever had.
This is a fast food restaurant chain, but the ones I’ve been to are clean and tidy with pleasant staff. They truly deserve a top rating.

Updated to note that we went back today and enjoyed a pizza and an Italian beef and both were equally delicious and perfectly cooked.
Solid choice for a burger! I’d never been in before and ordered a burger to go via Uber eats. It arrived still warm (always awesome!) and exactly as I ordered. They were prompt and this was yummy! Great portion for the price and much cheaper than other local beef restaurants. It’s comparable in flavor to anything you’d pay a lot of $ for at a nearby upscale spot. 1 star reduced because it was a little under well done and as a food scientist I strongly prefer well done ground beef. Overall very good. Thanks, Buona! I’d add a picture but I ate it too fast.

I will admit that I was getting a little burned out on Italian Beef. I tried it for the first time a decade ago on a trip to Chicago and I loved it. I returned home to Seattle and there was not a single place I could find that carried it. I enjoyed it during subsequent trips to AZ, CA and even NY but then I moved to las Vegas, which has a significant number of Chicago ex-pats and I may have overdone it.
My wife had never been to Chicago so we booked a getaway right before Christmas. On our first day, we were meeting up with some friends and I wanted to grab a hot dog before we headed out. Buona was right around the corner from our hotel so we headed in for a quick bite. I'll never get sick of Chicago dogs so I ordered a couple and my wife ordered a standard Italian Beef. I pounded my dogs, which were excellent and then my wife tapped out and offered me the other half of her sandwich, which she said was outstanding. I didn't want food to go to waste and I had some room left so I ate it and my love of the beef was rekindled on the spot. It was one of the best I'd had. The service and the restaurant were all great and we'll be back for sure. I've even had a couple since returning home to LV. Great stuff!

We were trying to find food that was local and unique, something we cannot get in Arizona, as we were in town visiting for the weekend. I was glad we found Buona.
The food was amazing. The staff was friendly. We were served quickly. All around great experience.
I look forward to visiting again in the future!

During midday in Chicago, I visited this Buona (Streeterville) location and had a delightful experience. The food was delicious, and I was pleased to find that there wasn't much of a line to order. However, the pickup process was a tad slow, but I understand that it's reasonable given the beef preparation involved. Despite this, the atmosphere was wonderfully relaxed and truly enjoyable. It's definitely a great place to stop in with a group of friends, especially if you want to catch the game on TV.

While in town visiting, we came across Buona and stopped for dinner. The beef, chargrilled chicken sandwich and fries were delicious! The staff was very kind as well. We enjoyed our meal so much that we had dinner there again the next day before leaving town. We wish there were Buona’s in Dallas/Ft Worth!

visited from out of town and needed a cool spot for lunch. overall, the food was good and very filling! the staff was helpful with suggestions and patient with us as it was our first time stopping in. just took a while for my mom to get her salad after my dad and I had gotten our food.

I'm a newly converted fan. I've been going to the competition for 20+ years so trust me. I know my Italian Beef!
What's good about it? Well the bread is better. But the beef is so much more flavorful! If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it!
