Buona - Streeterville

Went to Buona three times during this week as I was in the neighborhood and discovered how delicious their food is for the first time. On different occasions, I greatly enjoyed the chicken Caesar salad and the Italian beef sandwich. I would say that the standout were the French fries. They were very crispy, delicious, and perfectly cooked in a way that I didn't know was possible. Don't skip the fries or Buona.

An Italian Beef sandwich is one of my favorite Chicagoland things. And in my opinion, Buona makes the best Italian Beef sandwich in Chicagoland. I had another one at their Streeterville location tonight and it was fabulous; just as I’ve come to expect. To be clear, I go to Buona for their Italian beef sandwiches but their French fries are really in a league of their own as well. Crispy, hot, and tender on the inside. They are possibly the best I’ve ever had. This is a fast food restaurant chain, but the ones I’ve been to are clean and tidy with pleasant staff. They truly deserve a top rating.

While in town visiting, we came across Buona and stopped for dinner. The beef, chargrilled chicken sandwich and fries were delicious! The staff was very kind as well. We enjoyed our meal so much that we had dinner there again the next day before leaving town. We wish there were Buona’s in Dallas/Ft Worth!

During midday in Chicago, I visited this Buona (Streeterville) location and had a delightful experience. The food was delicious, and I was pleased to find that there wasn't much of a line to order. However, the pickup process was a tad slow, but I understand that it's reasonable given the beef preparation involved. Despite this, the atmosphere was wonderfully relaxed and truly enjoyable. It's definitely a great place to stop in with a group of friends, especially if you want to catch the game on TV.

Updated to note that we went back today and enjoyed a pizza and an Italian beef and both were equally delicious and perfectly cooked. Solid choice for a burger! I’d never been in before and ordered a burger to go via Uber eats. It arrived still warm (always awesome!) and exactly as I ordered. They were prompt and this was yummy! Great portion for the price and much cheaper than other local beef restaurants. It’s comparable in flavor to anything you’d pay a lot of $ for at a nearby upscale spot. 1 star reduced because it was a little under well done and as a food scientist I strongly prefer well done ground beef. Overall very good. Thanks, Buona! I’d add a picture but I ate it too fast.

Excellent Chicago-style Dog! Staff was nice and food came out fast! We had a free beef sandwich from the white Sox game bc juicy beef won the race. First time having Chicago style dog and it was amazing! Wanted to try Portillos but didn’t want to wait in long lines/crowds per online reviews. Reviews say Buona has better dogs also. Fresh made flavored lemonade was so good! Chargers to charge phones / laptops Buona has Self ordering kiosks to decrease lines
