Food:
Fresh and tasty. Loved the seaweed salad and dragon rolls.
Service:
Staff is generally nice. However, I visited this restaurant twice in a week.
The 1st time, the service was wonderful. The waiter was attentive and the food and drinks came out extremely quick.
The 2nd time, the waitress was nice, but the food and drinks took forever to come out.
Hoping the second go round was a fluke and the first visit is more representative of a South Coast Sushi experience.

The spicy mayo was delicious. They also have rolls with real crab meat and imitation which the waitress told us about without a problem. The spicy salmon rolls were great although not pictured because I was starving lol! It had a beautiful ambiance as well.

Best vegetarian sushi, love this place they have a great selection of vegetarian options in addition to the normal carnivore which I'm sure is pretty good, but even if you're a mean carnivore try the veggie options and save the fish.
Great atmosphere to hang out with friends, full bar if you want to get some alcohol to loosen up and the staff is very friendly and helpful if this is not your normal cuisine.

Great sushi place at a nice location. While I really enjoyed the sushi, the ramen I ordered was not impressive. Prices seemed a bit high but overall a good experience.

Great small local sushi restaurant. They have an eclectic menu. Very fresh and tasty fish. The house tempura seaweed is excellent. Tuna Tartare melts in your mouth. Great rolls. Great sashimi. The entrees are a nice portion. Miso soup is good. Full bar and good beer selection. Reservations can be made, but not required.

Great sushi place in a non congested area of Michigan. My boyfriend's first time trying sushi, I was so happy to find this place that offers vegetarian. He loved it! The staff are nice, attentive, and professional. Thank you for a great first sushi experience for my boyfriend. Highly recommend!

Fresh food and great service! The restaurant was so busy with taking in endless deliver orders and our food was delayed. But it was worth waiting. The manager offered us discount for the wait. I would definitely go back again!

Ordered the Angry Salmon and Spicy Miso Soup to start, and shared the Spicy Tuna Roll and Chirashi to split between two. The miso soup was perfect for a cold day, and had a slight kick of spice that was absolutely delicious. The angry salmon I'll admit I ordered mostly for the name of the dish, but it ended up being delicious as well. The salmon was super fresh and the sauce was a lovely balance, with small fish eggs inside to add that crunch.

It’s great to have a good sushi spot on the south side. The quality of the sushi is good and the prices are reasonable. The specialty rolls are what stand out the most. The service is always friendly...though orders can sometimes take a little while to arrive. An added bonus is that it is byob (think there may be a nominal cork fee)...though it only says so in the restaurant, and not anywhere online. Another bonus is there is a free parking lot for the restaurant across the street as well.

My favorite sushi spot! Their hot foods are really good as well. Always fresh, always delicious. Dark, chill environment, really good for dates. Same time it's mildly kid friendly-(they have high chairs). Love their tempura seaweed and the ginger sauce it comes with is delicious. King coast crab is 🔥🔥🔥

Great neighborhood place for sushi. Their fish is always fresh and they have daily specials such as half price bottles of wine on Mondays. Specialty rolls are tasty and the portion size is generous.

The Sushi was good and the place was really nice actually. My family and I went pretty late so they were rushing us out but I felt like there were still a lot of people in there that they shouldn't have rushed us. They rushed us so much that they even forgot something we ordered. But overall good Sushi and chill place

Very tasty. I definitely recommend this place. My dad and I went here after a conference to get some dinner. We walked in and didn’t have reservations so we sat at the sushi bar with no issues. Wait staff was nice, courteous and fast. The sushi chef made great recommendations and everything tasted amazing!!!

The ambiance was great. The food delicious. The service horrid. Our waitress was very new. She brought us the wrong food. Then the manager came over and said she would bring us the food we ordered but instructed us not to touch the incorrect food! She left it sitting there and we couldn't touch it or she said we would have to pay for it! After they had made numerous serving errors! I have seriously never experienced such a thing. It's a shame. REVISION. I changed this to four stars. I am thinking they read this lol. In any case we got a 10% discount. It still would have been easier to leave the ONE piece of sashimi on the table that was in error but the gesture is appreciated and the food was amazing

Chicago was one of the last cities I would have associated with great sushi. I was wrong. All in our group (out of towners here on business) were in the mood for sushi but weren't sure where to go. Online ratings and one recommendation from an acquaintance pointed us here, and it proved to be a great choice! Service and the quality of the food were equally pleasant surprises. Highly recommended!
