We were here during a busy holiday, and arrived very late in the day. The servers were friendly and patient with quite a heavy crowd coming in. Some of the options were sold out. Fortunately, we got to try the Madagascar, which was good. It was a beautiful work of art on the outside. It had a nice, citrus flavor. Our family all liked the Lemon Meringue Tart.
My favorite was the Camellia, a nice smooth berry flavor... Our family hopes to return soon. We will try to get there much earlier in the day to see the other selections and try them. Much more to look forward to!
AMAZING! croissants 10/10! the lemon tart ?? OUT OF THIS WORLD! first time going and it was amazing! me being a young black woman, i kind of felt out of place there but they made me feel comfortable & service was great even though they were busy! definitely will be back again and might just even stay at the hotel their connected too now. WILL be coming back very soon! :))) oh and the prices? actually very good for the quality of the desserts!!
We tried a pastry creation called Madagascar and it was out of this world. Delicious orange and passionfruit flavors offset by the vanilla. We tried several local ice cream parlors on our visit but when we go back we will be coming here each night for dessert instead. Gorgeous location and sensational selection.
We stopped here for lunch to enjoy this is authentic French café. They serve some of the finest coffee, as well homemade breads, pastries and more. Whether you dine in or get it to go, they open early with sweet and savory pastries and a full coffee bar. Everything they have on the menu looks so delicious, I could eat everything from the sandwiches made and crafted with artisanal bread, prepared sides and sweet delicacies. We had the Sundried Tomato Puff with goat cheese, Vegetable Quiche, and Croque Monsiour.
When visiting Charleston this is a must go to destination. Let eat!!
Delicious pastries, beautiful atmosphere, clean, and kind staff. They have savory and sweet options. One issue, one of the ladies at the counter kept repeating what the other lady was saying because she thought we didn't understand her. We just have a difficult time making up our minds. I wish the lady interrupting the other woman would have asked if we understood rather than loudly speaking over her while describing which pastry is which. Other than that, both were very kind toward us and I would visit again in a heartbeat.
The pastries are both delicious and beautiful. The coffee is great as well. Perfect afternoon pick me up with the family. My kids enjoyed it too.
I love going here especially to celebrate an occasion. These desserts are absolutely scrumptious and alluring. We got the caramel cream puff and a camelia.
Genuinely cannot go wrong with any of their pastry choices I went here like 3 times and got something new each time and loved them all. Could probably live my life in this cafe it smells so good and the ambiance is really topnotch. Even when its full and busy it doesn't seem overwhelming.
If you go to Charleston this is must go to destination. We went here every day and even brought back a bag full of goodies. My wife spent a semester in France and she said it brought back memories of her visit. We tried just about every Croissant they had. The only dissappoint you will have is that you didn't have more time to go back and eat here again. Oh yeah the Chocalate Banana Croissant is amazing.
It’s a very nice pastry pitstop with very good pastries, sweets and sandwiches. The quiche Lorraine was delicious. It’s a very nice and classy atmosphere and the cold brew was delicious, even though it is a bit on the pricier end.
