Great food. Expected to have BBQ smells but instead there is the overpowering smell of old fryer oil. It permeates everything, clothes smell of it. Had friends go and they came back smelling of fryer oil. Hard to want to go and check out the great live music or eat the excellent BBQ if all you can smell is something akin to the dumpster area in the back of a McDonalds.

This place is great! Dog friendly outside porch. Great BBQ smoked right out back with an amazing rub. Perfect collard green and great array of sauces. Spent a few hours here letting the dog play and watching football. Friendly staff and excellent selection of beer 🍻 we got a dozen smoked wings for snacking on later 😊

It's my favorite place to get smoked wings. You never have to wait for long, even when it's busy. Great place to just hang out and watch sports and hear the a band. Very friendly atmosphere

Sunday afternoon late lunch. Pretty quiet.
Bartendress was excellent. Q was good but I kinda feel like it had been reheated a few times.
Want to come back sometime when they're running on all cylinders.

Max balls were awesome! Sat at the bar and Dakota made killer green tea shots! Super busy but fast, friendly, service! Natalie kept me laughing and described the sauces to a t! Definitely give this place a shot! Three apparently have life music sometimes too, will definitely check that out

Staff where awesome, bar is well stocked. Super cool drink menu on the biggest chalkboard I’ve ever seen. My favorite part where the fries, they actually tasted like potatoes and not mush flour like most places. Will check out the outdoor seating next time!

Very friendly staff and cool atmosphere. Food was out in a timely manner. The menu has a bunch to pick from and it all looked good. The brisket was was moist but needed some sauce. I would definitely go back and explore more of the menu. Overall, some good BBQ. Worth the visit.

Food was so good! Ordered the pork belly with potato salad and baked beans, Mac and cheese bites appetizer, and a side of banana pudding (this was the only item I didn't like, seemed like whipped cream instead of actual pudding).

It was our first time visiting Southern Roots. I came across this place from suggestions on Google reviews. Decided to try it out for our weekly weekend family outing. Nice environment and hospitable staff. We were welcomed from the moment we entered the restaurant. Our waitress did the dang thing being the only one working at the time. Food was straight. Can't wait to come back to try the ribs. They weren't ready at the time we visited. Overall, nice experience. Would recommend.

I was planning my wedding long distance and Dykota was awesome to work with. It's been a while since the wedding, but they were just so phenomenal to work with I had to make sure I took the time to leave a review. Wedding guests were telling us it was the best food they had at a wedding ever! Servers were amazing - they were there to do their job and didn't distract from anything. If I ever have another big event... they will be first on my list to contact! Absolutely the best experience and the food was DELISH!!!! Cannot recommend enough!
