I cannot say enough about Crosby's, but I'll do my best to give them their due. First and foremost, the quality of seafood they offer is phenomenal, with their selection varying based on the boats haul. From fillet to whole fish, clams to mussels to shrimp - you can create a feast fit for a king. In a week's time I enjoyed: mussels, clams, shrimp(they were huge!), scallops, grouper, halibut, wahoo, snapper, mahi-mahi, jacks, and a few more. All amazing. Secondly, customer service is fantastic. Whether cutting a small piece, discussing different preparation ideas, or informing you what the boat will be bringing in later -- they treat you like a friend, not just a customer.
My review does not do them justice, but rest assured: you will not be disappointed by their quality, in seafood selection or service.
Stopped by on our way home from Folly with family visiting from Florida. The shop was busy but that didn't matter, we still received specialized, quality service from the gals working the shop. We went home with 5lbs of fresh, local shrimp, and 4 dressed black bass. Yummy feast to end a beautiful day at the beach. Can't wait to come back for more fresh seafood and friendly service.

There is just something very special about Folly Beach that is difficult for me to express. It seems to be just far enough away from everything that you can really enjoy its culture, charm, and of course beauty.
One such place where you can find all 3 of these traits and more is Crosby’s Fish & Shrimp Co. You will find them on the right, just before the bridge going into Folly Beach. We have stopped in Crosby’s many times now over the years and the Southern Charm has always been the greeting as we walk in the door. These folks will greet you with a smile and are always ready to help you find just what you are looking for in the way of fresh off the boat seafood, just the right bait for the fishing season, local canned goods, an adventure excursion, or maybe just a delicious fried shrimp brunch that couldn’t be any fresher. Did I mention that they have Shrimp Tacos too? They sure do. There is usually a line at the Crosby’s food trailer, but it’s surely worth the short wait.
Crosby’s always has a great selection of fresh seafood in their counters, and it is always reasonably priced for each season. Crosby’s also offers a nice selection of their own logo apparel that looks great and makes nice gifts too.
A conversation with the owners or any of the staff can lead you to many stories of Folly’s culture through the years. One such story will lead you to know that Crosby’s was one of Jimmy Buffet’s special places to visit when in Folly Beach. You can also stroll out on the dock area where the shrimp boats are to catch a gorgeous sunset or maybe listen to one of the local artists while enjoying a beverage with friends.
We always make sure we stop in at Crosby’s anytime we are close by. Hopefully you might make Crosby’s a memorable place to visit as well.
We flew home to Charleston after an extended trip to Florida and decided to meet a friend a late lunch. It was hot as the devil out but we sat in the shade and had a nice breeze coming off of the water. The fried shrimp and slaw were fantastic. The portions are bigger than they look and for the price can’t be beat. I had to share because I couldn’t eat it all. My wife got the tacos and had nothing but great things to say about them. Always a great go to spot!
Best Freshest seafood! We got fresh swordfish tonight ! The best I've had so we didn't hold back : Fire Oak Grilled with Bernaise sauce. W O W! That's all I can say.

We ordered food from the food truck, the staff was really friendly. We then went up to the store and got some fresh shrimp and other items. Talked to the person I believe was the store owner, she was really nice and helpful. Everything looked super fresh and of the best quality. The view was also really nice. Then we went back down to grab our food. Everything was delicious and fresh as well. There was ample parking and there is a place to eat under the store. You can tell that great care is taken in everything that they do. There is also a great deal of pride taken in what they do as well. I would rate the food 5 stars and the customer service 5 stars as well. We will certainly be becoming back!
Crosbys' Food Truck makes the best fried seafood on Folly Beach! I love supporting this place because of their wonderful employees. They also sell fresh local seafood and the view from their fishing dock is gorgeous. You can expect to see dolphins and pelicans while enjoying lunch.
Tasty food. Quick service. Nice atmosphere. Plenty of parking. There is the food truck and a restaurant, it is the same business. We tried the shark bites, they were to my surprise good. They don't have the fish taste. The fish bites were delicious. They weren't greasy nor super fishy. It was a perfectly fried fish. Quesadillas were filling. Fries were crisp and tasty. Getting back out if going left can be tricky.
Best fresh seafood on Folly! Hands down. Got to stop by on your way out to take some fresh shrimp home. The wife and I have stopped at their food truck also and it's very delicious! The summer time and fall atmosphere could not be better, especially on the water 😁
I'm so glad I came across this place. The staff was super friendly. I bought shrimp for a boil and king crab legs that I baked for Memorial Day. I also purchased jumbo lump crab meat for crab cake benny for breakfast. Photos are from the seafood I purchased of the food I made.
Have been wanting to see Crosbys for ages, years actually, finally got there on Friday, just brilliant, won't be getting my seafood from anywhere else now, totally hooked.
