New York City Pizza

Visiting Charleston, SC and had had enough of the large, crowded, noisy (over priced) restaurants. Just wanted something close, quick and tasty. Had walked past it earlier in the day and decided that’s where dimmer would be. Returned at about 8:00 pm. Not crowded, not noisy. There is a bar area and a dining area. We were seated with no wait. We decided on a slice each and I asked about the size. The waitress said to come to the counter and pointed to some slices being made. Very good size slices. Ordered two and it was ready in no time. HOT AND FRESH. the crust was crisp but not over charred at all, sauce was flavorful but not overpowering and the cheese was good and LOTS of pepperoni. Perfect size for me and the bride. Service was attentive and the atmosphere was great. Several TVs but not on full volume and that was a PLUS. Dinner for 2 for under $12. Good pizza! They have thin by the slice but have a full menu also. Don’t skip this place.

We order from NYCP all the time bc the food is always fresh and delicious. We are not big restaurant take-out people, but NYCP’s food is just as good when taken out as it is when eating in the restaurant. Don’t just order their pizza - their pasta and sandwiches are delicious too. The food is always ready very soon after ordering, and when it arrives, it is still warm. I put it on our dishes, and it tastes like a better version of my own home-cooked Italian food! Very fair prices too.

We ordered delivery. Door Dash didn’t do so well. Called the restaurant and talked to April. She took it upon herself to call Door Dash to resolve the issue while being slammed. Food was delivered eventually. Pizza was great, cooked perfectly to order and generous toppings. Will definitely order again!

Just past Market Street on the left Is this little pizza 🍕 place that has both inside and outside dining a bar nice staff and of course Great Pizza. 👍 My calzone was very good and hot. Not a heavy crust and Huge. They do offer a small size but I wanted to take home the rest. Had great service and will definitely be back on one of our many trips downtown.

Fantastic place. You don't have to go to New York to experience the flavor if all the goodness that comes with New York style pizza. You will get it right here. What a great atmosphere grape menu great drink menu it is loaded with things to from. If you're Pizza fanatic like me then you're going to love the crust it's thin and crispy the sauce is full of flavor and taste like they made it in the back. The cheese is hanging from the pizza on the First Slice all the way to the end of the pie. You might have had pizza before but you haven't had New York City Pizza so you try here. Don't listen to the messages of rude waitresses the one I had was extremely friendly and even the one that wasn't weed in my table was very friendly. The owner came out to share stories with customers. it was a great time definitely will be going back if you like fried calamari give it a shot. the sauce that comes with it has a nice kick to it. The water taste fresh and this is one of the only places that was open downtown post-hurricane Dorian. I had a blast

Came in on a lark and am so glad I did! Excellent NY style pizza. Thin crust, perfectly toasted. Great taste, chewy cheese, juicy pepperonies. Love that the shaker slots are actually large enough for the crushed red pepper to come out. $2 PBR! Perfect way to wash down the pizza. And plenty of Tv's. If you want to watch something, they'll be glad to dial it up. Very attentive staff. I'll be back!
