Delicious food and wonderful atmosphere. A cozy place in the heart of the city. Clifton H. is the greatest guy. I was impressed by their generosity: no one leaves this place hungry! They gave us numerous samples and they even got out in front of the restaurant to give delicious treats. During thanksgiving they opened their doors for the homeless people, that’s something admirable.

Wonderful food and service! I like I could order the seafood "dry broiled", and it still came out delicious. Such fresh seafood that's perfectly prepared with tasty sides. The portions were all generous, including the kid's meals. Our server gave our kids fake money to get free ice cream from their store, so that was a nice surprise!

Wanda was really helpful and advised us really good with the food selection. We really loved our food and enjoyed the awesome flavors! The atmosphere was relaxed, and very welcoming. Our 2 yr old was enjoying her mac n cheese and the hush puppies. Whenever we’re back in Charleston we will definitely be coming here to dine again! You’ll are doing an awesome job! P.s Miss. The atmosphere was so fun that I forgot to take pictures of the food. The food was extremely delicious. We all got the pick 3. Shrimp and grits were wonderful. Red fish was good. Best fried shrimp we have had all week. Large portions and sides were good as well. No reservations but wait was not long. Extremely large restaurant with lots of individual rooms. Highly recommend.

The restaurant is nicely decorated for a casual dining experience. The Staff was all friendly from the hostess to the bartender. But our waiter stood out among them all Cliff H. He was knowledgeable about the menu. He gave great suggestions and even gave samples of some of there popular frozen bar drinks. The food was fresh and delicious. Oh I almost forgot the portions were out of this world. It was a nice touch that the owner came to our table to make sure we were taken care of as well. Thank you Cliff H and Mr Hyman for making our experience a Great one!!!

Last week, My wife and I took a quick vacation to Charleston. We were told neighbors & more that we had to stop by this seafood establishment. Oh, I didn't expect the fine attention and detail to extra ordinary customer service from the the hostess, the server, another service person, and even the 5th generation owner. All had a can-do attitude that every business should emulate. Besides the wonderful seafood,*** the best takeaway*** I can say is that I'm going to use some of their ideas on good attitude and positive vibes in my company back home. Thank you, thank you, thank you for a wonderful experience!

Very friendly staff and the owner who greets customers and checks on them at the tables. There are plenty, if not too many, options to pick from, but I would suggest to order She Crab Soup, The Carolina Delight, and then some fish (in my case it was Crispy Flounder). Everything that we ordered was very tasty, and very filling so there was no room left for dessert.

My wife and I tried this place last year and now it's a place we have to visit every time we visit Charleston. The food here is amazing! We had a server last year that we thought was amazing (sorry we cannot remember your name, maybe Clifton), recommended and suggested certain dishes that we ended up trying and they were amazing. This year we had Ansley and she was also great. Very attentive, friendly and also gave her personal suggestions. Once again this place did not let us down. Can't wait to come back! Everything we had was amazing, but we do highly recommend the fried shrimp, fried salmon croquette and the broiled Chilean sea bass croquette.

What's more to say? Stop reading the seemingly endless amounts of 5 star reviews and just come! I did not regret a single penny I dropped on the best seafood restaurant I've ever been to! As always, I start with the service. 5 stars, with no doubt. Each server seemed like they genuinely enjoyed working here, with them accommodating me whenever I needed anything. They came, they gave me the food, they gave me my drinks, everything just was perfect. The moonshine flight was beautiful with no unpleasantness to be found. Not too spicy, lots of variety, good amount of booze. My date wanted the Bahama mama, and she said it was the best tropical drink she's ever had with that banana rum. So the drinks are top notch too! Not just the food. Where to start on the food, where all the other 5 star reviews have yet to cover? Well if this is not convincing, my date has never liked seafood in her life. After this day, she told me that she would only ever like this seafood, and expects it to be at least this good. So I guess, I will be returning over and over. The croquettes were divine, the hush puppies here make the competitors taste like boxed food. The sea bass croquette grit cake was fantastic, the boiled peanuts were a delight, she crab soup is creamy and delectable. Each and every bit of fried seafood was a proper amount of done-ness, not too overcooked, not too under-cooked, and everything was extremely fresh! It tastes so clean, and proper, no complaints from sea to shining sea. Not convinced by this or any of the other reviews? Just come on in, let your mind get blown yourself!
