This cafe is a hidden gem! Don't let the small building fool you; it is full of enormous aromas and the variety of selections are scrumptious. The Happy Houdini sandwich was awesome. If you are looking for a place where locals go to unwind and dine, this little gem is it!
First time stopping off for breakfast and I loved it. Great service and great food which was everything was looking for. I highly recommend this place and will make this a frequent stop.
Really cool little spot. Solid selection of sandwiches, crepes (sweet and savory), salads and smoothies. I went with the Sullivan’s and added bacon and it came with a simple side salad. The portions are generous and the food is tasty. Definitely would come back to try some other things on the menu.
Perfect location for breakfast and/or coffee and a walk. Quaint outdoor and indoor seating. Grab and go or sit and enjoy. Stumbled on this place 10 years ago and try to make it a point to visit every trip!
It was so much fun stopping here to eat some crepes and a cold brew. I have to say that you need to get there early to get a seat, but if you can squeeze in because it’s a sit yourself type of place it is just lovely!
Overall: A charming neighborhood spot to scratch plenty of breakfast or lunch itches.
The good: Fun atmosphere with lots of art and character; it definitely has a local vibe. Plenty to choose from on the menu with crepes, salads, sandwiches, and more. The cuban was crispy, hot, and stacked and certainly wards off a hangover, while the nutella crepe was filled with a generous amount of filling and delicious raspberries. Free coffee refills too!
The not-so-good: Food isn't mind-blowing (cuban was a tad burnt) and the prices are a little much. Bathroom is cramped and uninviting. Service wasn't bad by any means, but wasn't very friendly either. Hours don't reflect what's on Yelp (close by 3 on a Sunday one visit that we tried).

I found this place tucked into a tiny and picturesque corner of Queen Street and tried it for the first time. I'm a lifetime customer now! This little spot was brimming with energy. The lady who took care of me at the counter was super sweet and friendly, called me by name several times and offered great conversation for the little time that we interacted. I got two panini pressed sandwiches that were huge, served on a bed a crisp potato chips, and so delicious. I ordered the Tenacious Turkey (turkey, brie and green apple: genius) and the Happy Houdini (ham, sprouts, avocado and goat cheese: divine!) What a great lunch! I'll definitely be back!
Excellent service! Breakfast was quick and delicious, very filling portions. Loved it and highly recommend this hidden spot
Tucked away and tasty! We enjoyed the location in a neighborhood with patio seating. The portions were good, salads filled the plate, chicken well seasoned, and smoothies were good too.
The Tenacious Turkey is the best sandwich in town! Decent prices and great portions for Downtown CHS. The wait times are worth it. So much charm — but don't plan to use the bathroom.
Not too many choices for a Monday breakfast. So glad that we came here. Quirky and friendly place with delicious crepes. We had ham, egg, and cheddar. Will be back to try more.
I was exploring Charleston, looking for a lunch stop, and decided to stop by the Queen Street Grocery based on reviews. I was not disappointed.
I couldn't make up my mind, but the very friendly staff was incredibly helpful. I ended up trying the Happy Houdini sandwich, St. Helena crepe, and Huger Street smoothie.
Everything was delicious. I had to save my crepe for later, and it was still amazing. I will be back for sure the next time I'm in Charleston.
