Our family had the pleasure of dining at Ciao for lunch and the food was superb and Scott provided excellent service. Several items were order from the very reasonably price lunch menu including chicken parmesan, shrimp and grits and the table favorite chicken crepes with mushroom sauce. I would advise saving room for the limoncello cake! We will definitely be back and try out their dinner menu.
Get the champagne lobster tail, order the tiramisu for desert, thank me later. I prefer when they served sautéed brussel sprout with the lobster instead of the spinach but both are delicious. You can’t go wrong with the seafood ravioli either.
My husband and I were told about this restaurant via a good friend, and let me say, it was the best!! We will be forever customers. The food, autosphere, employees, management, price, menu selection, is the BEST by far. Even The Hill in St. Louis, doesn't come close.
Whether you live near or far, it's worth the drive.
Welcome Addition To Cape Girardeau. We had the privilege of dining at the newly opened Ciao on Halloween evening. From the wine selection, to the appetizer, to the entrées, and finally the dessert course, all was well. We were warmly greeted by Gabriel Ruggieri who continued to be very helpful with our wine selection and menu choices. The liver pâté was outstanding, the calamari a fresh take, the beef tenderloin so tender it melted in your mouth, Pasta Bolognese very good and the tiramisu excellent. Our waiter, Justin, provided good service. A fine dining experience which is very lacking in Cape Girardeau. Thank you Sue and Gabriel for opening this wonderful restaurant! The decor is very warm and inviting also. We will be back!
Finally Good Italian in Cape. I left the house Saturday night hungry. I found this place on accident. They weren't actually open for normal business, but had pre-opening night. I did not have a reservation, but luckily they let me eat at the bar. Let me caveat by stating that I was stationed in the Army at Camp Darby, Italy for two years from 2006-2008. The base is about 15 minutes away from Pisa, in the Tuscany region, so I know good Italian. This place is great. I started with the liver pate. It came in a jar that they do themselves with some crustini. I didn't finish the pate, so I took the rest home with me. I then had the fettucini alla fruiti di mare. It was fresh and delicious. I then capped off with the tiramisu, which was heavenly. The staff was very polite as well. They conversed with me the entire time. I am not a drinker anymore, so I didn't have any of the wine or beer, so I cannot comment on that. It is an upscale place, but they didn't make me feel out of place in jeans and a t-shirt. The prices were reasonable as well. Bottom line, the best Italian food in Cape.
