The food is amazing! They are fresh and taste fresh and well prepared. The flavors and seasonings on the foods are top notch. The price is very fair to the portions and quality of the food. The wit staff is friendly, prompt and overall just pleasant. I have eaten here many times and will continue to do so since I have never had bad food or service here (rare consistency in the food business). The ambience is great and I love the overall theme and design inside. I love good homegrown restaurants and Katy's delivers. If you love great food in a relaxing clean and friendly environment and you hate generic chains try Katy's, you won't regret it. Glad to finally have a favorite place in Cape Girardeau again!!!!
This is our family place for birthday celebrations. Great food. Amazing staff. Outstanding ambience. Strongly recommend if you are in Cape!

We ate here for Father's Day and my father-in-law's birthday and it was amazing. Our server Chloe kept drinks filled and got food to the table quickly.
Drinks:
I had a Dublin Mule and an Irish Wake. The Dublin Mule is (as you would expect) lime, ginger beer and whiskey. Delicious. The Irish Wake was considerably stronger and is made from rum and OJ (with a three drink max). Also Delicious.
Food:
I had the Pick Two (1/2 Sandwich and Soup). The half Reuben was really good. Not the best ice ever had, but a well made with the perfect blend of sauerkraut and corned beef. The Potato Soup was a different story (in a good way). A pot sealed with a layer of melty cheese concealed a thick semi liquid treasure filled with chunks of potato and bacon. I've rarely had a potato soup so close to what I make myself in terms of consistency and flavor. My wife had to try a bite after me praising it so much and she loved it as well.
My daughter had the kids grilled cheese with house made chips. She loved it.
My wife had a cheeseburger. She said it was good. It came with "planks" which are somewhat like battered French fries. They had an excellent flavor.
My father-in-law had the shepherd's pie. It looked delicious. In the same way my potato soup was sealed with cheese, his shepherd's pie was sealed with mashed potatoes.
We also tried two appetizers. The Guiness White Cheese Dip was devilishly creamy and went with the baguette it was served with as well as the Bavarian Pretzels we ordered as our second appetizer.
All said and done (including a 20% tip) this meal cost us around $30 per person for 5 meals, 2 appetizers, 4 drinks and a lovely dining experience.
Katy O Ferrell's is bomb diggity!! We got deep fried macaroni as an appetizer. It was crunchy, melted cheese that was amazing!! The choose 2 of potato soup and shepherds pie was absolutely delicious. The perfect amount for both of us. As desert we got the bread pudding. My absolute favorite!! Perfect amount of caramel and chocolate. Everything was perfectly proportioned. Josh was pur server and recommended our dishes. We were so happy to follow his recommendations. 5 stars all day!! 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠
Nicole took my phone-in order for takeout. She recommended the corned beef and cabbage over the bangers and mash. More flavourful. The stuffed mushrooms, corned beef and cabbage & chocolate brownie were all excellent. Both Nicole & the stuffed mushrooms were recommended on Yelp, rightly so. One piece of corned cabbage was quite fatty but my dinner had a fantastic, authentic flavor. Portions were enough to eat dinner and lunch the following day. The worst part was driving 60 miles home smelling the food but not tasting!

This place is really, really cool. From the second you step in, it feels like you're transported into a real Irish pub. Service was great, atmosphere even better. The menu was good so I had a hard time deciding. The food presentation was great, but the flavor was lacking. There wasn't much flavor in any of the food, and it was kind of pricey. But I would like to try it again.
Have you ever had a moment in your life that you always look back on and have regret? If you don't order the guiness cheese dip, you will forever have regret. It was AMAZING! Like "can I order a gallon of it" amazing?!? My only constructive criticism would be to not serve the kids mac and cheese in a crock that has been in the oven OR alway bring an extra plate with it so the parent can scoop it out to cool off. It was wonderful mac and cheese though! Logan gave us phenomenal service as well! Top notch meal and we will be back!
The owner is great! Serving staff is excellent by far some of the most friendly people I have met. Food was excellent
