Delicious Colombian food, exotic beverages, and traditional desserts. Their menu is full of good options for everyone, including vegetarians and people seeking gluten-free options :) Great place to go for brunch, too!

Three cocktails with brunch…need I say more? This small restaurant really knows how
to cram out all the orders from their tiny kitchen in the back with only one master chef.
The waitress was very attentive and the entire staff all work so well together to entertain
and make their guests feel welcomed. I really liked the balance of the meal with meat, fruit,
and a salad all on one plate. Definitely a great place to check out.

This place has been voted numerous times as being the best place to brunch in Brooklyn; I don’t blame them because they do serve really good food. If you love Mexican food, then you’ll love Colombian food! For about $17, you get a complete brunch, which includes: a generous portion of entrée of your choice, side salad, three alcoholic drinks, coffee, and two free refills. The brunch menu has plenty to choose from, but they all look good to me, so will definitely come back here to try the other options.

This restaurant is the kind of place you want to come back to again and again. With a small bar and only about 28 seats, it has a neighborhood feel to it. If I lived in the area, it's definitely a place I would stop by on my way home from work for a quick beer and pleasant conversation with locals.
The food is amazing. Portion size is perfect. Ample, but not oversized like many American eating establishments. Traditional Columbian food - the shrimp ceviche is definitely a must and they have a wide selection of South and Central American beers - Tona, a Nicaraguan lager was so refreshing on a hot summer day. It's bright and crisp, with no bitterness at all.
Of course, being a Columbian restaurant, they also have lots of coffee based drinks and to end your meal, the tres leches cake is perfect - not too sweet and not too wet, it's the best version I've ever had.

I have been wanting to try this place out for brunch since it first opened. Getting myself to Greenpoint on a weekend afternoon is quite a feat but I finally woke up early enough and with enough energy to check it out. I was not disappointed. Colombian food is something that I am always hoping to find but that I don't want to travel far to get. I always seem to be searching for the flavors that remind me of being a kid (I'm from Bogota), and for the most part, this place nailed it. Also, I am a HUGE fan of maracuyá, otherwise known as passion fruit, so when I heard they were putting it in their mimosas, my interest was instantly piqued, to say the least.
The place is quite small but it has a great atmosphere, is clean and inviting. I liked seeing the decorations they had up, including signs for buses as well as the bottles of alcohol behind the bar, where they displayed some traditional aguardiente (memories once again). They have a brunch special with 3 cocktails and bottomless coffee included with your entree. While I waited for my friends, I had a buñuelo, which is a pillowy ball of cheesy bread. Once my friends arrived, I ordered the stewed steak and huevos that came with rice & beans as well as a chorizo and an arepa on the side. While we waited, I saw the people around us get their food, all the portions of which were gigantic, and we steadied ourselves to be really full at the end.
My meal was exactly that, gigantic! On one plate was a large amount of beef shredded in a tomato based sauce with scrambled eggs sitting on top. The other plate had a mound of rice and a cup of beans. I basically mixed all of this together which made me a happy girl. The only thing I was put off by was that the chorizo didn't taste like I remember from my youth. I figured that being situated in a predominantly Polish neighborhood meant that the sausages they served might not be as authentic as I wanted. But whatever, overall it was delicious. As a bonus, my left overs were enough for two additional meals. Needless to say, I will be returning because I found out they have a weekday lunch special that is just too inexpensive to pass up!

A bit out of the way, but they have a nice brunch - $14.50 including a main course and 3 drinks. I had their blackberry mimosa, which was tasty but on the weaker side. I recommend their llanera arepa -- caramelized beef, onions, chimichurri sauce, and avocado slices. Flavorful and filling.

Worst place for service and professionalism, possibly ever. They've got their hours as 9am-11pm on here. Two of us got there at 10:55. I call and get answering machine. Check Yelp, which says it's opening at "11:15am Today". Two women are sitting on the ground under the awning of the pizza place next door speaking Spanish so seems like they might know something. Sure enough they say the manager is across the street at the convenience store, and they're waiting for him to open up. Having come over from Manhattan, we decide to wait for them to open. The guy comes across the street at 11:05, doesn't acknowledge waiting customers, just bangs about, unlocks the grate and leaves it open halfway up after entering. At 11:15 I look through the glass. No one's visible. No sign of opening at 11:20. Grate still down, but I spot him behind the bar. I knock on the window to get his attention. Just want to know if we should go somewhere else since we're hungry. Tables are set up, but he's the only one there front of house. He doesn't seem to hear. I knock again and after a few moments again. Then a little harder. Still doesn't look, turn - no acknowledgement. I try the door, which opens and ask if they're opening soon. He pretends not to hear the first couple of times. Then he' says they're closed. I ask when they're planning to open. Says they're closed again, tells me that's what the halfway down grate means. Other than being really hungry, I'd have walked at this point. I say fine, but when will you open. He says they're not opening at all today. I say seriously we're just hungry and want to eat. He says they're not opening in an angry irritated manner and walks away. I'm a little upset by this point, and slam the door shut, which gets him back to the door cursing me. I give him a piece of my mind. He really gets into the cursing. I have to step away to avoid his spittle. The owner has gotten there at this point and tries to apologize, but really he should just fire the lazy, obnoxious manager who's probably hungover and not happy to be at work, and clearly costing him business. Food probably is decent. I like arrepas and most of the menu looks decent. Drinks sound good. I was excited to try the place. Zero stars for this place. Coda: a guy who apparently lives nearby and heard the argument tells us we're not missing anything. I tell him he should have written a review and warned us about the obnoxious imbecile.
