Chill staff and a decent place to grab a coffee and relax for a bit. Plenty of seating and the atmosphere is great to get a little work done. Check it out!
Highly recommend this spacious coffee spot with a very friendly staff. The Boston Creme Croissant is outstanding!
I come here daily. The staff are the nicest baristas in the city. Mac is super funny and always remembers your name and order. They do awesome donuts on Thursday and cook their sandwiches to order. You get a real egg in you breakfast sandwich 🙂 highly suggest you get your morning coffee/day started here.
If I ever moved to Boston I'd make this coffee shop my regular Saturday or Sunday breakfast stop. Coffee is hot and the food is great. Many breakfast cafes have precooked eggs and other food, while Boston Common Coffee has a kitchen in back to make tasty food to order. The baked goods up front are also great, I liked the blueberry muffin top I had.
Coffee is decent. Food is decent. And space isn't too shabby. I've come here a couple times to do work, and despite being near tourist attractions, it hasn't been that populated when I'm there. It also doesn't hurt that they have free cookie samples at the register all the time!
The coffee is delicious. The best part though is the speed of the staff. They take your order and then prep it like they are on roller skates. It's worth the price just to watch. Two thumbs up.
We were staying in the North End for the Boston Marathon and found this coffee shop not too far from our place. I myself don't like to waste calories on my coffee, but nor can I drink plain black coffee...I always opt for Iced Skinny Vanilla Latte when I can and the one at Boston Common Coffee Co. was delicious each morning! Their pastries and other coffee drinks were quite tasty as well according to my parents!
I cannot express how much i love this coffee/tea shop. I always order tea because I am not a huge coffee drinker but the smell almost always entice me to get one.
The space is pretty big but are usually occupied by Emerson and Suffolk students so finding a place to sit can be a challenge sometimes.
I do enjoy coming here later on the evening when I just want to sit down and relax. their also offer free wifi here which is great and lots of outlets in case you need to be plugged in.
the back - near the bathroom also have additional parking.
lastly, if you need a bite to eat, they also make food. what a great little place.
and safe -- FRIENDLY!!! very friendly. Lines generally go pretty quickly too.
A nice, comfy, roomy coffee shop in the heart of downtown. I'm a fan of how much space there is in Boston Common Coffee! Lots of spots to meet, do work, relax, see friends. I always make my way to the couches toward the back for some extra comfort and a little privacy.
Coffee is good, pastries are yummy. Service is pretty good, baristas are excellent and know their stuff. I recommend going when you need somewhere to escape the corporate world or just to have a nice coffee meeting!

As a non-coffee drinker: solid tea selection, their (gargantuan) pastries are okay, I've eaten lunch here a few times but doesn't stand out to me. As the most convenient cafe place to the office, a solid option for a quick snack or afternoon drink run.
