Skip Modern, skip Mike's, if you're in Boston walk straight to the back of the North End and go to Bova's (they're open 24/7 so it's easy). Order a cannoli of your choice (florentine cannoli's are quite cool) and get the Oreo Mousse Cake. That cake is so good I find myself dreaming about it on occasion, nothing lives up to it

To be honest, I've never been a fan of cannolis, but I decided to give Bova's Bakery a shot since everyone says it has the best cannolis in the North End. I am happy to say that I was not disappointed. Ambiance: It is a small bakery located on the corner, and as soon as you enter, you are greeted with a large selection of pastries. There is no seating--it is a grab-and-go situation. Food: There were so many cannolis to choose from, but I decided to try the creme brulee and the original. There wasn't much of a difference between the two other than that the creme brulee had some chocolate bits that added an extra crunch. The shell was flaky, and the inside was thick but not too sweet or overwhelming. Service: There was an entire family working the front, and they kind of just stared at me as I was deciding what to order, which was a bit awkward, but I am sure they are all very sweet people and also hardworking (I am very impressed that this place is open 24/7!).

Everything you could want out of a classic Italian bakery. The cannoli were delicious, and easily the best I've ever had. I got the pistachio cannoli and the creme brulee cannoli. The snowballs were so tasty and the citrusy zest they have is unmatched. The beats any deli back home and had to easily be in the conversation for best Italian bakery in America. So, so good. We had to wait in line for a little but it moved quickly. The security guard was friendly and fun and did a great job controlling the crowd. The line inside was less in control and we got cut pretty badly because the server just aged who was next instead of respecting the line. Not her fault the ppl behind us cut tho.

An absolutely amazing bakery in the North end of Boston in little Italy. There are a wide range of baked goods from Italian to American classics that are absolutely stunning. I visited with friends on October 23, 2023, and had the Oreo cookies cannoli which was fantastic - expected flavour but not so rich and sweet, making it great for post meal dessert or something to go with your espresso. Expected price point of $5. I would highly recommend and visit again.

What a lovely place, so many pastries it’s hard to take it all in. We heard they had the best Boston cream pie, so we shared a piece. It was pretty good! Not out of this world… but Would want to go back to try their other pastries. Would recommend using cash, any electronic payment has an additional fee.

Great bakery! I loved their rugelach (I tried the chocolate one and the raspberry one) and they were both excellent. I love that their bakery is open 24 hours. It always seems pretty busy in the bakery and there are so many things to try and choose from! Can’t wait to go back.

A friend recommended. Cappuccino Cannoli($5 cash) was ok, but not impressed, will try other flavours next time. 4% transaction fee for credit/debit card.

We went later in the evening. I didn't expect it to be too busy but there were a lot of customers but we were served quick and there was a lot to choose from. We spent a lot and we even got an item on the house. There is extremely limited parking in this area. You can also get pizza here and other deli items as well.
