Walking distance from The Revolution Hotel and was recommended by the receptionist. Our server was attentive she was checking every table and was honest with food recommendations. I have to agree with her when she said that The Altasian is not for everyone. Their clam chowder had a watery consistency, not as creamy as what you can get from the Quincy Market. You can't go wrong with their ice cream, we got the coffee chocolate chip.
Absolutely delicious pizza! Thin, structured crust with zero flop and charred perfectly. The tomato sauce was perfect, tangy with the right amount of chunky pieces and not over cooked. The cheese was of highest quality as it was not greasy but still soft and toasted. And wow, that homemade peanut butter and dark chocolate chip ice cream!! And of course we had an attentive and excellent server who rounded out a perfect Sunday afternoon on Tremont St.
What an amazing place! Awesome pizza and ice cream. The ½ and ½ Spicy shrimp and Alsatian pizza was to die for. Our host TJ made us feel so incredibly welcomed and took great care of us. Will definitely come back for more!!
Excellent pizza with a wide selection of draft beers, apps, and salads. The pizza is a slightly more robust New York style pizza with a strong char that still manages to have a light airy crust. Pizza, beer and ice cream, what's not to like?
Another great meal at Picco, it’s worth coming all the way from Toronto to Boston for our most favourite pizza place in the world. Wait staff and host always friendly and pizza extra well done which is how we love it, as long as there’s mushrooms on the pizza😂😂😂😌. Will be back asap take care and stay safe until our next meeting. My favorite pizza in Boston. I lived here for a year before it was recommend to me. I only wish I’d found it sooner.
We ordered a small pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom and it was perfect for two people. They make their own ice cream! Do not miss if you are in town.
A Savory Delight: Picco's Delectable Custom Pizzas
Ordered:
- 1 large half pepperoni half Alsatian Pizza ($25.25)
Picco certainly lives up to its reputation of serving yummy pizza! Their custom pizzas are a savory delight that will leave you craving for more.
Pros:
- The ability to customize the pizza was a delightful feature, allowing us to tailor our order to perfection.
- With many different topping options, there was no shortage of choices to create our dream pizza.
Cons:
- The only downside was the pizza's cooking time, which took a decent amount of time before it was served or ready for takeout.
Overall Impression:
Picco is undeniably a go-to place for pizza cravings, especially if you appreciate the art of customization. The Alsatian pizza, with its delightful combination of sautéed onions, shallots, garlic, crème fraiche, and gruyere, was a standout. However, the price tag is quite steep for a pizza shop, making it more suitable for occasional indulgence. I'd definitely recommend trying their unique Alsatian creation!
My gawd....🤩easily one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Ordered a personal and made a meat lovers, added bacon, Pepperoni and sausage. Amazing ingredients, taste, crunch, sauce... everything you want in a pizza. And the wings were good too.
Pizza was amazing, super crispy. Got half sausage/spinach pesto, half pork belly and cabbage. Both were great. The pork belly melts in your mouth and gives the pizza a rich flavor. Very few wine options though.
I don't think there needs to be much more said about this place. The pizza is some of the best in Boston, in my opinion. Portion sizes are good, prices are fair, staff is friendly.
My only complaint would be how popular the place is and needing to wait to be seated but realistically that's a good thing. I'm not in Boston often, but when I am I will be going back. Try the hot honey wings as well, they were a great addition to the pizza order!
