A tasty little gem inside Hana World Market. Super tasty and flavorful. We ordered kick-butt fried rice and noodles, they were both yum! The fried rice was close to Indian pulao, so Indians will for sure love it! The home-made chilli oil was was also a star! Portion sizes are good too! I wish there were some vegetarian options for tacos though.

I had a little trouble finding it but it's located inside of the food court in Hana World Market. I was raised on Lao food and I have to say the Kow Poon is spot on. It's delicious and you should definitely order some if you go. They offer spice level 1-10. I ordered level 6 spicyness and it was still really mild to me but I was sharing with my 4 year old daughter who took a drink of water after every bite. The Tham Muk Houng (Lao papaya salad) is also pretty authentic and delicious, it's traditionally a spicy dish made with plenty of thai peppers, I ordered spicy level 10 and it's satisfyingly spicy. For $8.50 menu price the portion of the Papaya Salad is a bit small but I did get a Groupon deal. I also tried the Laab Gai taco which I was skeptical of and it wasn't really a hit with me. The Laab Gai itself was alright but the flour tortilla it came in was straight out of a bag not even warmed or heated in any way, and since it's served without any sort of sauce it's a bit on the dry side especially with the flour tortilla. I used the Sriracha mayo sauce that came with the eggrolls on the taco. The pork eggrolls were awesome and fried to order, but I'm not a fan of the mayo/Sriracha dipping sauce they come with and would much prefer a fish-sauce based dipping sauce. I was a bit bummed not to see any Asian/Lao people working, maybe because it was a Sunday. Another review mentions everything is cooked by "mama Noy" herself so I was hoping to spot her. Also the only napkins they had available were the ones that came prepackaged with plasticware so I had to open three things of plasticware just to have napkins to get through my meal. Overall the traditional Lao food is delicious and I will be back for more.

What I love about Mama Noy's is that you can really just taste how fresh everything is. I had the spring rolls which were great and really healthy I felt like I got my vegetables for the day in that one dish. The sloppy noodles were also delicious and so were the tacos, especially the veggie tacos which I normally would not order but these were so amazing I would eat these every day if I could.

What a great find. I have been to food truck, but this is permanent. House within the restraint area of Hana market. We tried several dishes. The owner brought out a new item Curry chicken eggrolls, crisp tender chicken, all hand made. Served with a side of sirracha cream shipping sauce. They were excellent. She also had us try skewered chicken a new test item. So juicy and week marinated, excellent house made sauce. We would order those every time. Out main dishes were. Beef kick butt fried rice, which is always a winner. We also had the chicken lo mein. The meal was great. Fed three people.

I'm so glad this food truck became a resturaunt too!!! My whole family enjoyed the food (including the picky eater). The suave for the egg rolls is key! I could almost drink that stuff!

AWESOME! Found this little place out of luck while shopping in Hana World Market. They have a food court inside. I have to say the food was great. Their Laotian Style Pad Thai and different styles of Asian infused tacos were the best I've had in Austin. Hands down. You have to try this place if you're ever in the north Austin area.
