The family ate at Whitfield’s 7/29/18 for lunch. Everything was quite tasty. The brisket was tender and perfectly smoked. We had both brisket tacos and brisket sandwiches. We also tried the pickled strawberries, pineapple and cauliflower. Unique and tasty! And getting to visit with food truck partner Kasey Studdard after watching him manhandle defensive football players as a Texas Longhorns and Houston Texans offensive lineman, was a treat and added bonus!

Hot damn! That’s fantastic BBQ! I had a half pound of brisket and ribs with my sweet patootie, some of them smoked beef fat tators and some pickled strawberries. That black garlic sauce had me worried at first, cuz sauces can be a bit overwhelming, but not this sauce. It complimented the both the brisket and ribs so well my big words left me. Keep on slingin’ that good food, y’all!

Every time I drive past Whitfield’s BBQ it looked closed as if I missed out of something big. But after eating at Hacienda Arandinas for lunch I saw smoke and a person walking back to their vehicle carry a bag, so I quickly parked. There were two trailers where one housed the pits and the other were you order from, and a covered picnic tables with pots of cactus giving that Texas vibe. I mentally assumed it is one of this places where they spontaneously decide to open and sell their meat until it is gone, go home and throw the ball around. Hence, I read somewhere an ex-Texas Longhorn football player was the pit master. This was my first experience and even though has a full belly of Mexican food, I still needed something to eat for the next two days where a cold front just arrived and be stuck at home. The guy slid his window open and he quickly told me what was left. The smell that came out from the window memorized me and lifted me in the air. I ordered a half chicken, pork ribs, 1/2 pound of brisket, and potato salad. They seem to be eager to go home and excited I was ordering so much food where they seem to try to push the kolaches on me. I told them perhaps next time where this I would have to eat right away. The whole ordering process went very quickly where soon I was home. I just had to see what they packed and opened it. The chicken smelled very smokey and just had to taste it where it was one of the best chickens I ever had. The meat was so warm and soft. The rest was in a takeout container for opening the lid exposed a super thick slice of brisket and huge pork ribs where the meat had already started to fall off the bone. Pickles and onions were sprinkled on top. Both had excellent flavor and placed all of this meat into the fridge. Over the next two days I just enjoyed it by warming it in the microwave. I was nit a big fane of the potato salad where it had thick potato chunks and seem light on the flavor. On the bright side it did not last long where someone including me ate it up quickly. I definitely will keep an eye out for smoke where will definitely add this place to my BBQ rotation and perhaps try the kolaches.

Interesting location and it’ll get hot! Trailer in the middle of a vacant lot. Plenty of free parking. They take CCs. Fun little BBQ truck. Sausage was delicious. Brisket was not sliced, and ok. Smelled like fish for some strange reason. Great staff. Friendly people. Good pricing for bbq joint. Will go back and try it again! Excited to bring others.

Writing a review for the owner for what it is worth. We miss you. Though at times, it was difficult because sometimes you're open and sometimes you're not. Several times, we arrived and were let down; even on weekends. There's no number to call and the Facebook page is not updated with open/close days. Sometimes when I have the itch for BBQ, I weigh whether to drive over there just to see if it's open and sometimes I don't. I hope you and your family is well as we get to experience your BBQ again.

I would have to say that it was some if not the best brisket and pork ribs I have ever eaten in my life! What a pleasant surprise.

Absolutely fantastic. Some of the best ribs I have ever had. The tacos are huge and delicious. Their unique pickled sides can add layers of taste you didn't know you were craving to anything they serve. I'll be back again and again.

When Valentinas moved further south, there was a Brisket shaped hole in my belly. Whitfields had filled that hole. All meats are really flavorful and juicy. Buns and toriallas are VERY high quality. Also ALL OF THE PICKLES! This is a great new spot, usually sells out around 7pm, so get there early!

We came here based on a recommendation and it did not disappoint. The food was AMAZING! This meal set the bar really high for the next BBQ experience I will have in the future. Also worth noting that the owner was unbelievably kind and did nothing short of making sure we had an excellent experience. The food industry needs more people like him 🔥

I had brisket taco. It was amazing. Two fully loaded tacos enough for two person. Great quality. Will go back definitely.

We got the brisket and pulled pork tacos. They were absolutely delicious and HUGE! I literally danced while I ate mine! I'll definitely go earlier next time for the pickled strawberries and pineapple, which they were out of. BBQ sauce is freaking incredible! Huge portions, super friendly staff, to go wrapped up well, a must visit!

Fantastic BBQ that rivals all the “big names” in town. Brisket is fantastic, ribs are always on point, and pulled pork sandwich is the bomb. Sides are fantastic as well and if you can run into a brisket Kolache on a Saturday morning you’ll never want any other breakfast food. Owner and staff are crazy friendly and will sit and have a beer with you if the joint isn’t too crazy. Definitely a must visit.
